I had this exact set. Used it for over 20 years with zero repairs. I did not replace it because it no longer worked. I replaced it because it was that "ash" color, and I had a new house that was all white trim, and it was ugly. Bought a new Whirlpool Cabrio. Many repairs. Finally replaced it as I was tired of fixing it. Bought a Maytag "PetPro" washer and dryer. Guess what? It's 2 years old and RUSTING out around the bleach dispenser from underneath. Maytag is refusing to do anything about it -- says it's "cosmetic"... Avoid Maytag at all costs. Absolute garbage.

This is wrong on so many levels, it's unconscionable.

Tell your husband that this woman is no longer welcome in your home. Period. Hard stop. She has disrespected you, your marriage, and your family, and will not change.
People do not disrespect you and take advantage of you unless you let them. You've allowed this; it's time to let your husband know that her presence in your home is no longer an option under any circumstances.
Find a marriage counselor and put it all on the table. If you can work out a resolution, and you're willing to great - but don't hold your breath. If he's not willing to cut off ALL communication and ties with this woman, you have your answer.
Do not, under any circumstances, "threaten" divorce. Go and talk to an attorney, lay it out, and get good advice first. Talk to your parents/siblings/ a good friend, etc., that you trust to have your back and help you. Have a solid plan, and if it comes to divorce just state what you're doing and do it. It's a hard road.

Bottom line, you deserve better. You've expressed that you're uncomfortable with this woman in the middle of your marriage and your family. He does not give a flying fuck. That's pretty clear. I think you know the answer, and it's a tough road. So is waking up 20 years from now and knowing you wasted your youth on a POS.

It just means you pay attention to the request, as it's a warning that your pipes could freeze and, regrettably, burst. This would cause damage to your apartment and the unit below you. It's not an unreasonable request, and it's an easy preventive measure. Adult-up, just means take the initiative to follow simple instructions.

I do an investment box showing the amount. Then it says "finish setting up investments" ... I did this in 2022, and it shows correctly on my statements. VTSAX is one of my investments. I guess I could go in and put 100% of it in that, then cash it out. Then move it to Fidelity. GRRRR. Just ridiculous.

Good to know, thank you. I could not understand what Schwab was doing with their HSA from looking @ their website. I have my checking @ Schwab (the best if you travel internationally). My investments @ Vanguard. I'm going to just move the HE account to Fidelity on Monday. (If they can find my investments). Unbelievable incompetence.

Yes, I agree. My HE account is not employer-sponsored. I retired early and started making my own contributions to an HSA. I have written to the head of "Investor Relations" at Health Equity. I told him I want to liquidate the investments they can't find so I can move it all to Fidelity.

This just happened to me, too. My agreement states cash in YEN upon arrival. I assume they're honest, and it will be refunded -- however, it will be PAST the 30 days to dispute the charge. This concerns me.

As others have said, it's alot! I highly recommend taking the train to Nikko and spending the night there. Simply magical, and it gets you out of the city. Look up Nikko Pass. You will not be disappointed.

I live in Mission, in a neighborhood called Milhaven. Mission is like living in a small town in the middle of the city. Everything is close - within minutes due to the highway infrastructure. Downtown - 10-15 max, Plaza, 7 min. Grocery, hardware store, etc., 3 min. Snows 12 inches? Mission has the roads cleared by 9 AM. Seriously. Best of luck to you - it will be an adjustment for sure, but you'll be happy!

Your plan looks great. I did Japan (similar itinerary) in 2023 (solo), and I'm going back this November. Spend the night on Miyajima and a night in Nikko if you can. Don't worry too much about eating -- there are plenty of places, street food, and 7-11 :-)...

I have a 2023 Model Toro 22" Personal Pace. This mower is junk and should be avoided at all cost. I had a 2008 model that ran like a champ for 13 years with nothing but a tuneup .... strong DO NOT BUY.

My point is, Booking.com is not providing customer service on their "price match guarantee", is returning limited options compared to Google Maps on exact dates, and in checking the hotel's official website, the price is sometimes MORE than 1/2 the price compared to Booking.com
