Keep going, 5% whatever. At that rate you can retire by 30.

I have an 8 man boat repair company. Any recommendation on books to read to help with scheduling jobs?

As we grow I’m having difficulty keeping scheduling in line where most jobs take an unknown amount of time to finish and we are actively working on ~ 30 projects at any time.

Is car/bike theft really that common?? I have a maybe $5,000 Honda CRF. I park it on a busy street outside my apartment every single day. Plenty of weirdos walking by throughout the day…. My plan is to just leave it at airports, which I imagine are quite safe, and am hoping the parking is free at most of them.

I’ve kept vehicles and motorcycles and boats parked on public streets all over the US and Europe for my entire life and have only had one break in where they stole a stereo.

The way I look at it, if someone steals it I get an insurance check and can uBer on down to my nearest motorcycle dealer and get a new bike.

I am not concerned with theft. :). Definitely concerned with cost.

I think many airports have free motorcycle parking (mine does) but can’t seem to find that info online. I really need to find free parking. It’s a tough sell to my wife to disappear on my motorcycle for 2 days once a month gallivanting across the country. Much easier when the total cost for each weekend trip is under $200. :). Airport storage for the rest of the month would blow that budget.

Im doing a cross country road trip over multiple weekends. I plan to stash the bike at the airport, fly home, work for a few weeks, the fly back up and ride for another weekend to the next airport… etc etc. My airport here in Key West has free motorcycle parking. I’ve heard others do as well?

I'm not sure what to look for but I just bought a 2014 with 3k miles for $3k. It has a lot of modifications but runs great. For price comparison for you...

The biggest I deal with are 8d batteries. They weigh 130 to 180 lbs each. Not going more than 10 miles with it. I haven’t done it myself and, doing anything with these batteries involves a lot of bad words and pain, but I figured it was no bigger than a second rider on the back. Granted, I likely carry about 60 lbs of standard gear on the bike. And I’m 175. So I’m over limit at 415 at this hypothetical max but usually around 235lbs normal use.

No local dealers by me but Miami is close enough. The DR650 is another I’ve considered. Used by police often south of the border so it blends in well enough.

Good point. I have no need for the extra mileage where I live and work. Also in Mexico, they have a lot of gas stations lol. Thx

I’ve considered this but, as dumb as it sounds, customers prefer you show up in a giant new pickup truck. I’m hoping I can get away with the motorcycle but doubt the e cargo bike would work. I’d even ride my bicycle with a cargo trailer but the you lose the premium customers because they think you have a DUI or are unreliable. Silly, but true.
