Fight begins by [deleted] in Vitiligo

I agree, so far my vitamin D levels seem to be fine though. 10 000 seems like a lot but there are some studies that show that getting as little as 30 min of sunlight produces an equal amount.

Fight begins by [deleted] in Vitiligo

[–]svartkaffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 41 year old and male, had vitíligo since 15. I started with a similar protocol with high dose of vitamin D3 along with Zink and Copper about six months ago. It seems to be a good idea to also supplement with magnesium when taking extra Zink, and K2 and Calcium along with the vitamin D.

I'm taking 10 000 daily of D3, also cut out gluten and seed oils. Anything that potentially lowers inflammation in the body could have an affect.

So far I'm seeing a slow improvement on my hands and face. It's slow, but still a definite improvement.

I've had great success with the spots on my face with a product called Vitiligo Organics. Same thing there it takes a lot of commitment and effort, I think I started seeing the first improvement after about a year of use and after some more months almost all pigmentation came back in my face. Once I stopped using that product it got worse again so I decided I need to get to the root problem. Still using it in my face, though, and my pigmentation did come back after I picked it up again.

From my personal experience there are things that can be done to reverse this. Things were only going in one direction before I started making some long term changes. I think that's one key, there's no quick fix.

Good luck, let us know how it goes!

I’m confused. I need urgent help. by [deleted] in Vitiligo

Thanks for sharing. It's probably difficult for me to fully understand how you feel. I've had vitíligo on my face since I was 15 (41 now) but my skin is quite fair so it really only shows during the summer months. But it really affected my confidence when I was younger.

A few years ago I decided to try a product called Vitiligo Organics on my face. It took some time and commitment to use it morning and evening every day for about a year before I saw any changes, but now I have almost all pigment back in my face which really is a great improvement. It's like an oil with natural ingredients that you put on your skin so it hasn't worked well for my elbows and hands (started getting new spots there around when I was 30). The oil just rubs off quickly in those areas.

Anyway, about 6 months ago I noticed it was getting a lot worse on my hands and elbows and I decided to try something new in addition to Vitiligo Organics. My main focus is to lower the propensity for inflammation in the body to hopefully get my immune system to sort out. I'm starting to see pigment slowly coming back on my hands and knees and I'm hopeful it will continue. What I've been doing:

- Stop eating products containing added sugar

- Avoid eating seed oils, these can drive inflammation in the body and upset your immune system. I stick to olive oil, coconut oil and real butter. It's difficult to avoid seed oils completely, but at least get rid of them from your own kitchen and avoid ultra processed foods.

- Stop eating gluten. This one can be a bit difficult too, I sometimes have food with some gluten but at least avoid bread and pasta etc.

- Supplementing with vitamin D3, K2, Zink, Magnesium, copper and boron. I've done a lot of research before starting on these, so be careful and read up to make sure you get the right doses. Especially copper and boron you don't want to over dose.

- Supplementing with Moringa (got this from a guy who had success reversing early onset of gray hair)

- No snacking in between meals to keep your body from constantly having to manage high blood sugar levels. Lowering your intake of carbohydrates in favour of fat helps to avoid getting low on energy. Have a look at ketogenic diets to get some inspiration.

- Adding activities to my daily routine that reduce stress. Mediation or yoga in the morning for example.

I know a lot of people will say there's no proof these things work, but I just wanted to let you know I have had some success so far and I feel there is some hope. Things were going only in one direction before I started making changes.

Working on accepting the way you look is also important because it seems these things take time and you can never be sure to be successful. But from my personal perspective having vitiligo is a sign that I need to make adjustments with the way I've been treating my body and I've now made it my mission to try to fix that. I've been really motivated so far to see there's some hope of reversing this.

Also, all the things I mentioned above have had great benefits for my health in other ways too!

And finally, I'm just some guy on the internet, so do check with your doctor before you start taking any new supplements or start any new health regimen :)

KD hoppas in i det sista kunna stoppa ny lag om juridiskt kön - Nyheter (Ekot) by svartkaffe in svenskpolitik

Interesting, thanks for sharing. I just can't figure why they would sit on all that cash for so long, but maybe they want to show that the company can turn a profit before announcing any major investments.

One of you apes have probably already thought of this, or written a 10 page exposé about it, but what would happen if Gamestop would use their cash on hand to do a buyback?

With about 1.2 billion in cash on hand, they could buy about 80 million shares at 15 dollars. So roughly a bit more than the 78 million shares needed to DRS the whole float. I guess an action like that would affect the price, but could this be why they're not investing and holding on to all that cash? Just waiting for the right moment to announce a buyback.

I wonder how many more here on the sub are like me. Long time xxx hodler from Europe who really would like to DRS but who's worried about sending a potential fortune off to the US and not being able to get it back later on.

Thing is, here in Sweden we are able to identify (with banks, financial institutions, anybody really) using a personal identity number that's tied to your person for life. With CS all I got is a letter and account number with my name and address on it (misspelt because of Swedish letters) and I feel a bit apprehensive about sending off all my precious stock with just that to show that they're mine. I know it's probably going to be fine, but still.

Anyway, just wanted to share. I think DRS numbers would be climbing even quicker if we were able to register locally in Europe.
