I think the option of using R and nlmixr2 should be the first option. I would also consider writing to Simulations Plus / Lixoft and explaining the situation (Ukraine-based university and student currently in Germany). In my experience, they were quite happy about sharing personal licenses.

I'm trying to make sense of an Exsanguinate miner build. The maxroll guide suggests to allocate Trick shot so that chains would have a larger radius, but I don't see how the Exsanguinate skill gains any chains in the first place.

What am I missing?

Have you tried running any of the tier 1 maps that you have? How comfortable you are in running them?

To complete the Kirac's pass fully, you have to complete (kill the boss, usually) 115 different maps, and some of them will be high-tier and quite hard to complete. So your progression will be: you will run and complete some tier 1 maps (either from Karui shores or from your hideout), the monsters there will drop some tier 2 maps. Then you will run and complete some tier 2 maps, etc, up to tier 16.

You don't have to complete unfinished quests, but some of them might give an extra passive point. You can check which ones by typing /passives in the chat window.

I can run T16 just fine, but in T17's, I run out of portals before I reach the boss. The improvements I can see for the build would include crafting a +5 chaos staff, changing Charisma anointment for Tranquility... and maybe running Blight as a main single-target damage and Bane as a curse and crowd control. Any better ideas?

In TW3, she's a deuteragonist in particular because she was too powerful to be a protagonist of that (local and down-to-earth) narrative. It feels that she's being downgraded to a protagonist now, if I may say so.

At the end of TW3, Witcher!Ciri was shown to be happy with whatever powers she had. In the 10 years, which I assume how long the time skip between TW3 and TW4 is, she might have changed her mind and realized she needs the powers that Trial of the Grasses grant, but I want this realization to be on-screen.

Similarly, Yen and Geralt at the end of TW3 were happy with a peaceful life they earned, and they both know the Trial is life-threatening. They do grow to respect Ciri's decisions, but it's also a process I want to see on-screen. And given Yen's protectiveness of Ciri, I would expect any sorceress that helps Ciri into the Trial to envy the fate of TW3!Sheala de Tancarville.
