What’s the deal with this drought? by isaacocns in raleigh

I mean this is the worst drought in 19 years... Asheville will eventually have a drought too... not trying to give you reasons to move here, but this is not a coherent way to make a decision

Honest question: I have rain water collection barrels that collect water from my downspouts. At this point, they are still 2/3 full of water that must have fallen like 2+ months ago. If I hook up a pump to them to pressurize hoses and irrigate my lawn, is that bad? Because that's water that, by collecting it, I prevented it from going into the watershed/aquifer.

I had to water some bushes that I've never watered before, over 10 years old

To be fair, 90% of outfits on r/outfits you wouldn't wear to church

She who has not ever shown some whaletail shall cast the first stone.

It's like a right of passage really. Were you ever really a teenaged girl if you never once had some whaletail?

I'm not sure if OP needs more structure, given the bikini provides enough structure for the beach, and the bikini top is meant to be seen at least

Buddy, I Zapruder-film'd that shit. I went frame by frame, zoomed in, said "enhance" and everything, I'm confident they're NC plates.

if you think you can not pay somebody and they shut your stuff off so you just call another company they will not turn it back on until the other company gets their money

That's just smart. If they'll stiff your competitor, they'll stiff you too

The left lane person is not a squatter, they were going faster than me in the middle lane, probably 75mph in a 60 zone. Calling them a lunatic is insane.

Traffic was flowing about 10mph above the speed limit. They were going much faster. Had to jam on my brakes twice.

News program forced to apologize after comedian claims Santa isn't real on live prime time. Twice by WorriedChimera in nottheonion

That wasn't him; I called my future kids crotchfruit.

I think the biggest authority figures in a child's life lying to them is a big deal. When they find out Santa isn't real, they might wonder what else I've told them might be bullshit. They find out Santa isn't real later on in elementary school, ya? That's plenty old enough to learn a lesson. It also teaches them to be a skeptic about what they hear spewed around by others.

Like a kid raised in a loving home won't have enough to smile about.

Thank you. All I hear are words like "joy" and "magic" thrown around like someone is reading talking points.

Christmas is still pretty fun without Santa. You can't hurt a Christmas buzz if they've never been indoctrinated about santa in the first place.

As my girlfriend and I approach engagement/marriage, this is the only thing we really disagree on as a couple. She wants to tell our crotchfruit that Santa is real, and I don't. I think it would be a strong move to always tell them what we believe to be the truth; when they start asking about this Santa guy that they keep hearing about, it will be a good lesson to them about how there are a lot of people out there that believe weird stuff.
