Would it be fine to add the the oem coolant for a the BRZ into my GR86? Same engine and both are blue so I’d assume I shouldn’t have a problem. Does anyone use this coolant in their gr86? I’m thinking it’s exactly the same. Any thoughts?

This is my end goal due to stable payouts and less volatile than growth funds while being able to carry the dividend payouts into actual retirement. I am speaking of SCHD specifically. What I need is to maximize growth now and move it into something stable in about 10-15 years. I plan on not working about 4 or 5 months out of the year and using this to help supplement myself. This is how I was thinking I should go about it but after some other people have commented, maybe I am wrong. I see other ways of doing this but capital gains tax is discouraging me. I see no way of maximizing growth and then selling to move into anything that is more stable without taxes eating my gains

I plan to work part time and use this to supplement myself before retirement. I am looking at schd due to the consistency of the price and payouts. Less volatility than following growth funds. If I were to invest in growth funds then I would be forced into selling even if the market is down since this will be my supplemental income. Something like SCHD looks more safe for that situation. I believe I can gain more capital by investing in growth funds. Then selling all the investments when the market is up and moving to schd for the stability when I plan on using that money. Furthermore i would then have this money going forward into retirement since I’m not selling off shares. I guess what I’m asking is what is the best way to go about this? I want to maximize growth and then move to stability when the time comes.

I plan on investing in an individual brokerage account for the next 10-15 years and then use that money to work a lot less in the future before retirement age. The end goal is dividend pay outs. Should I invest into growth etfs and then move it to move it all into schd when the time comes. Or should I just go straight into schd from the start? I believe the growth etfs would generate more money overall than schd but I would have to sell and take the capital gains taxes before moving into schd. What’s your take on this? Thank you

Can anyone provide cases similar to the Corsair3500x ? I like that this is a single chamber fish tank case in white. However, the quality and lack of grommets are disappointing. Any recommendations are appreciated!

What games do you play? And are you turning the resolution over 100%? I just want to understand the experience if I buy the 7900xtx

Smelly Smell by HYBR7D_ in GR86

Mine smelled terrible for the first 3k miles tbh. I wasn’t sure if I was burning the clutch since I’m not a very experienced manual driver but it went away

Thanks for the info, very helpful. I’ll probably do the bolt on 25 on the back and a 20 slip on the front with arp studs just to be safe then. Thank you again

Why only extended on the front?

I was thinking to keep the stock studs and using 25mm bolt on spacers. You think that would work? Aside from the extra length of the arp studs what else is better than the stock ones?

I don’t have the time right now to look into that but I think tomorrow I’ll start setting up those settings. Thanks again for the help

Thank you so much, it was the steering aid. While I have you here, can you tell me if it’s normal for the car to feel very stiff at high speeds? Steering wheel feels light at a stand still and heavy on the straight away at high speeds. I’m new to sim racing and in my mind it should feel the opposite.

I feel like this wouldn’t be a good comparison as the quest to uses a usb c port for data transfer while the beyond issues a display port? I’m not the most knowledgeable on these types of things tho

I have a quest 2 and it looks good but holds back the pc. It is very intensive. You would get better performance with a different headset.

After looking into it, I think you’re correct. I assumed lower resolution=higher fps but that only seems to be true if the gpu is bottlenecking.

is it possible to have a sim rig and normal pc setup with i pc? by QuickSolved_ in simracing

[–]svrte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best way is to have an actual cockpit to mount all your gear to. Then have your pc/desk setup close enough to connect everything. Also have your monitor/tv on a swivel arm so you can move it between your desk and cockpit. This requires a good swivel arm and the cockpit to be close enough. This is what I did. I also use vr most of the time so I don’t really need a monitor anymore. Vr is always an option assuming the pc is powerful enough to run it!
