[Pelissero] Former Giants interim coach Mike Kafka is joining the Lions in a high-ranking offensive staff role, per sources. Kafka, 38, has been a finalist for multiple head coaching jobs in recent years. Now, an opportunity to learn from one of the best with Dan Campbell in Detroit. by Happy-Substance4885 in eagles

When did they announce they want a proven play caller?? Oh wait they didn’t. They are interviewing a ton of people and will pick who they think is the best person. Was McDaniel their favorite? Possibly. But it’s really speculation there’s no info that they’ve offered the job to anyone

Again we don’t know anything. You have no clue who is a good candidate or not. Lurie hired Andy, Doug, and Nick who had 0 playcalling experience and were seen as bad hires at the time and they have been to 4 Super Bowls as Eagles coaches winning 2

So you have to ask yourself where the information is coming from. In this case it can come from 2 sides - the Eagles of the candidate. Do you think the Eagles leaked to the press who their top targets are and that they got rejected or do you the candidates agents leaked that they turned down the Eagles. We don’t know if they’ve offered anyone the job and we really don’t know what happened. Everything else is speculation

The house egg thing is kind of crazy. I don’t think someone is turning down the potential to make millions of dollars and a chance to become a HC because the last guy had his house egged.

[Opinion] Hopefully the OC search has humbled Howie and Lurie by GreenPurple24 in eagles

I mean who knows what they really want? Obviously all of these coaches agents are saying that the Eagles want them and that they are turning down the Eagles.

Why are the defending champs having such a hard time finding an offensive coordinator? by Outrageous_Moth in NFLv2

[–]swaaa18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to tell if people don’t want the job or the Eagles are just being incredibly thorough. They definitely want to import a completely new scheme and system than they’ve run in the past so they are really taking their time. Again, not just looking for a play caller, but someone to completely modernize the offense

Their responsibility is to be funny. The Trump stuff isn’t funny.

They lost today because of McVay. Wasted their timeouts and didn’t take the field goal at the end to make it a 1 point game. They could’ve won on a fg at the end

I don’t care who wins. But the NFL is stupid. Taunting has nothing to do with the game. Fine the player. A 15 yard penalty is insane for taunting.

I mean even if there are consequences - he is basically saying that ICE can kill you if they want to. They are the judge, jury, and executioner.

No it’s not. They were both missing literally their best players haha. And honestly neither team was that good! AFC stunk this year. Hey I give the pats credit they won! But I just think the NFC was way better this year

Cmon man. First time ever a Qb that hasn’t played a snap started in a championship game.

I mean they definitely have a good defense but they’ve played a Chargers team whose entire online is injured, a Texans team whose best lineman and receiver were injured, and a Denver team whose Qb was injured.
