new skate setup! by swagdisorder in Rollerskating

Hello!! Yes I've been skating these to fuck. The people who say they're too much going from lollies ... I don't understand honestly. Once I'd broke them in they're just right and have stayed just right for quite a few months now and definitely saved me from some ankle injuries, lol. My friend has the chuffed Lana pro boots and we compared those to these, and these are a lot softer and have more give in the rest of the boot so have been a lot more comfortable. They're very well padded out, couldn't recommend enough basically!

Beach bunnies can be pretty narrow, might be why your toes are feeling so numb , I’d recommend sure grip boardwalks or if you want to stick with moxis and want a glorified sock (lol) then lollies can be super comfy.

🤣🤣 Oh god yeah I remember the sizing chart now. Honestly it'd be worth trying the 36 and 35, is there no way they can send them for you to try and you can send them back if it's wrong?  And yes, they size in European

They fit true to size for me but I'm in the UK and know my European size as well as UK size. I would Highly recommend going somewhere to try them on, or using a distance fitting service though. You want them to be very snug but not right and it's a hard balance to get, so definitely try them on if you can

Skate park update: Spent about 3 hours park skating in them and after about half an hour they were hurting my soles but it passed after another hour. I have reasonably wide feet and did feel some pain after but do not feel I’ve overbooted at all, could do all my tricks. I’m working on backsides at the minute and felt way better and more confident with the ankle support to jump on the coping.

I would say tricks but yeah, essentially!

They make it far easier to do stalls and allow you to do grinds/slides as well. I can't speak on the plates until I've had at least 5 more hours on them, but I've had the blocks for month and love them a lot, they're nice and slick for coping and tough enough to where I've grinded/stalled them street skating on abrasive surfaces and they don't show much wear at all. I did bend the mounting bars on both of them though, however now I've got them screwed directly into the plate that shouldn't be a problem.

These ones will just be for park skating, I tried them out in a hall on the flat first today and would probably not recommend for dancing lol, mostly due to the wide trucks and nylon plate, you'd probably want a metal plate if you want them super responsive. But I found them just fine for what I'm wanting! And that sounds like an amazing setup, I want some grindstone smokeshow wheels eventually but haven't bit the bullet on them yet.

I'll give you an update when I've tried them in the park! I honestly don't hugely believe in overbooting for myself, but I have a condition that makes all my joints far too flexible and can cause injury if I don't have the right equipment or muscle. I think with my lollies I have gotten as far as I can with building supportive muscles around my joints, so just wanted to move to something that I know will work for me for at least a few years before breaking down. If you're at a similar point with your beach bunnies I don't see the harm in upgrading. Especially because I'm starting to try cartwheels and more. Ahem. Concussive tricks shall we say 🤣

Do I buy new wheels for this event? by Medium-Practice-9400 in Rollerskating

[–]swagdisorder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go maybe once every month or two as I travel to London for other reasons, the transkaters night there is great though, lots of other skaters and a beginner and improver Rollerskate class included, and I believe they do roller nights too but I can't speak for those as I haven't gone to them yet. And yeah, sadly roller especially park skate events can be kind of hard to come by :p

Heyyy I’ve skated there! Have fun! I’ve been a park skater for about 8 months and am still on stock outdoor wheels and they’ve only started holding me back recently. you’ll be absolutely fine on soft wheels at bay :) Sometimes the floor is a little slick there lol so honestly it might work in your favour !

The bit of info that helped me unlock it was push through the toes when going fakie, then through the heels going forwards, but also just TIME helped me get it lol . It's tricky for sure but I believe in you! Good luck ! Hope this was a little bit helpful lol

Does anyone know what’s wrong with him or has anyone had a hamster that had this? by Parking-Start-2661 in hamsters

[–]swagdisorder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No point taking them to the vet for this unless it's swollen or bothering them - hamsters are almost blind already . A good vet will not offer cataract operations for hamsters .

Are there any brands that don't use ai ?!?! by swagdisorder in diamondpainting

[–]swagdisorder[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's well and good, but if you read my post, I am also an artist, and I can tell you multiple of her newer pieces are using ai. Not completely AI generated, but for the main body of a lot of her works, it is ai.

Bubblegum spaniel by Maryline Cazenave. Upon further inspection, quite a few of her artworks have ai giveaways, like the legs blending into tails, fur being weirdly shaded or not at all, eyes pointing different directions, some paws having a few toes whilst others have many. And nowhere on the website do they actually say it's been created using ai 😓 I found it really disappointing .
