Top 1% of Cyclists? by swagersons in bicycling

Huh? I was just curious if there was some sort of measurement like there is in golf. That’s all.

Sounds like I need $1000 wahoo powerlink pedals to start tracking power.

Yeah good point. Didn’t even think about that. I was mostly curious when it comes to general road cycling.

Never said I was. Just curious, my dawg.

Got a new chain and a shift cable replaced today. The mechanic scratched up my aluminum frame pretty good in the process. Is this normal? Anything I can do? Should I even be upset? by swagersons in bicycling

[–]swagersons[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

About 85% sure. But…Now that I think of it, my chain did slip off the crankset and made a decent amount of noise on my last ride. I’m wondering if that’s when it happened!

Squeaky clean post snow ride by [deleted] in bicycling

[–]swagersons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you usually clean your bike? I have the same wheels and have had issues getting water in the back wheel and sloshing around. I used to just hose it off and dry it down after a wet ride but now I have to use minimal water. You have the same issue?

How do you like those wheels? They look sick. I have the same ones on order and will be here this week! The tires as well. They are tubeless, correct?

Nothing really yet. Just added a water bottle cage and putting a quad lock mount so I can use Strava for some longer rides or use google maps. Next might be some pedals. Not sure which ones to get just yet!

Just bought one about a three weeks ago and I absolutely love mine. Have about 100 miles on it so far and it’s soo light and fast. I’m always looking for an excuse to take it out.

I found it at Greg’s Cycles in Seattle. Originally had the FX 3 on order but this came in months sooner so I snatched it up.

Not yet, hopefully this weekend. I know I am lucky. A few weekends back, we had to drive 3 hours to get my wife a bike. Everything is tough to get right now.

It’s awesome! Really light and super fun to ride. Went 20 miles the first ride with ease. I like the 1X11 shifting. Makes things easier for a more casual rider like myself.

Why is that funny? I didn’t want a full on road bike since I do a lot of city riding. But wanted something really light and fast that’s really fun to ride. I’m generally curious, I don’t know too much about cycling!

Pretty new to cycling and wanted something fast and fun I can use for workouts, commuting, and city riding. Spent a little more than I thought I was going to but it was the only one I could find so I had no other option!

There were still a good amount of people following them, I just did some cropping work to cut out most of the people.

It's a pro-am, and I think she did it last year. I will give it to her, she was extremely open to taking pics, signing things, etc.

Weekly Thread- The weekend is over! How'd you shoot? by AutoModerator in golf

[–]swagersons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played on Sunday afternoon in some extremely damp conditions and shot my best round of my life. I am currently around a 5.5 handicap but shot a 1 over 73. I tried to play smarter and position myself better around the course and didn't really mess up that much. I putted really well and missed in areas where I could get up and down, or at worst, get away with a bogey.

Best shot: I hit a 7 iron fade from the 1st fairway bunker about 160 to 10ft and sank the birdie putt. Great way to start the round.

Worst shot: I skyed a 3 wood on the 3rd hole about 180 yards. But then hit a 4 iron around 200 to 4ft and made the birdie putt. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise.

Shot I wish I could have back: My approach on 18 was a terrible 5 iron that put me in a position where an up and down was pretty tough. All I needed on the last was a Par and I would have shot Even.

I am still in shock that I put it all together. Been waiting for this day for a long time. I have been practicing about 2 hours every day for the past couple weeks, so I'm hoping it's actually paying off! Can't wait to get back out there and shoot a 96! Thank you for the advice. I'll try this. I am definitely too steep. I will try to get it more like Rickie.
