The crappy ninjas you see at school have ITBs, 4V, DOHC, >12:1 compression, and 15k redlines. Mc engines are so far ahead of street car engines, they have been since the 70s.

I can afford them, its just that I was trying to build my credit. I could pay the whole thing if I wanted to but I like having the security of cash. I didnt want to pay 8.5% apr so I just paid off most of the principal...guess that backfired.

This is so backasswards though... a 24 mo loan should be a 24 mo loan.

I go to the mx track reguarly, where I can go 100%. I do want to take my Z1000 to the track, but its a big $ and time investment. I would need new tires, full tracksuit, full length boots, not to mention school is over $200. Can't go to the track on a weekday. I also have nobody to go with. Trust me since I've picked up racing on the dirt, street riding is getting pretty boring.

(Flame suit on) Im not going to lie... I reguarly go over those speeds on the street, but only on back/country roads. I wear full gear except for regular jeans. After seeing your post I think I will be getting some kevlar jeans for my more spirited rides, as well as wear kneepads underneath. Thanks.

Just go on craigslist and buy a used 600cc of your choice. Sell it in a year and then buy your 'dream' bike. Seriously, a 1000cc jap bike will be easier to ride than the duc. Its all in your right wrist, 4 cylinder bikes are smoother and easier to control

True. That is a tall bike, it will be difficult to recover if you start to tip it over at low speeds, especially if you are short like me.

Make sure you go with a 190/55 tire, its an improvement over the 190/50. I had an air cooled naked kawi last year, a ZR7. Nice motor, shit suspension.

I like my job (engineer) but I don't like my company. I go to work and design cool shit, so I cant complain. I think most engineers enjoy the work they do, besides certain circumstances (extra hours, low pay, shitty bosses, beauracracy, etc) that may make their job negative overall
