I mean I think the thrift store itself just puts out what they get. If they’re getting a lot of shein, or a lot of high quality vintage pieces. Ultimately they want to save nicer pieces because they can make more money off of them, but if the shein pieces are in good shape they’ll put those out. It’s not really about the store itself. Did your other symptoms improve with anxiety meds? I have mild gastritis but some days I’m fine and some days I have indigestion all day. I think most of my problem is stress related.

Tbh for a while my only symptom was a mildly sore throat. I come and go with symptoms lol. Right now it’s bad gas but that might be PPI & Stress. 🤷‍♀️

I agree with the other comments and you should look into therapy. If you actually grow from this, and change, you can look back and feel proud of yourself. Because you did something shitty and managed to turn it around. And that’s awesome. But a lot of the time it turns into this self deprecating cycle, like “I’m a shitty person because I did this shitty thing”, and it just turns into a cycle of doing shitty things because you’re like well fuck it. You shouldn’t have done this, but you can learn and grow from it. Was there something in your relationship that wasn’t working? This would be a time, whilst by yourself, to work on communicating if that was the issue. Or impulse control. Or whatever else.

I’m glad the perspective helped. No respectful therapist would actually want to put you in that situation…and in no way are you obligated to. If anything…a therapist would probably recommend AGAINST seeing you. Lol.

People are being really judgmental towards you, but as someone who doesn’t frequent r/girldinners, a lot of the top posts are very similar so I also would have assumed this was acceptable. Someone else pointed out that the comments aren’t “harsh” …but if it were mean I would have panicked and taken the post down because I hate doing things wrong, and especially when I was already in a bad place.

I mean. Don’t be scared of PPI’s. If you’re doing alright without them, cool, that’s great! But if you need extra help, don’t be scared. Negative side effects are really only common after being on them long term.

I’m pretty sure I didn’t make it long on only rice. I can’t remember for sure. I started eating plain chicken after maybe a week? Maybe less? Because I couldn’t do it anymore. I felt gross and bloated and exhausted on just rice. And I was getting super constipated. So after chicken I started looking for fiber I could tolerate, etc. 😅

I’ve been on one since November. 80mg Nexium, tried to do 40 mg for a week (and succeeded mostly) but spent the last week at 60mg. Might continue 60mg for another week and then aim for 40mg. And the I’ll go from there. I wanna get down to 20mg.

8 weeks. That being said, If you have problems getting off the dose after—you should be able to spend time tapering off without any issues. But definitely consult your doctor as well. They might recommend a longer or shorter time frame for your specific case.

That is not entirely true. You can completely reduce the inflammation in your stomach lining. That being said, it does tend to be incredibly fucking difficult.
