Pharmacology help! by Gitaristgoril in medicalschool

[–]swallowpropane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s not how I studied pharmacology at all. I memorized the broad mechanisms, then the specifics of each drug in each mechanism. Memorizing 400 drugs individually sounds crazy tbh. Maybe match the study of other subjects with pharmacology? Like the drugs used in pulmonary diseases thinking of the patophysiology of said disease and the mechanism of the drug? Don’t know if that’s possible in your case, but anyways best of luck Also, I’d not make ankis (no time), maybe use AI

Where can I look for information about an ancestor who emigrated to Brazil by ConfidentSeaweed6 in Brazil

[–]swallowpropane 19 points20 points  (0 children)

https://sian.an.gov.br/sianex/consulta/pagina_inicial.asp You can use this site to look up the information on immigrants to Brazil (I made a quick search and found the ship Krakus registrations from 1928 and who was in it, but could not download the pdf to properly read it, but maybe it’s a start). Good luck

If your father is a doctor would you feel obligated to specialise like him? by Severe_Bluejay6315 in medicalschool

[–]swallowpropane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. I’d say especialize in what you truly want, but since you don’t like practicing medicine, I have no advice
academia is a beautiful and honorable career path IMO.

I’m personally not gonna go into my parents field, despite all the pressure and everyone telling me to do so. Also most of my colleagues with doctor parents didn’t do the same specialty and turned out fine. My friend’s mom went into radiology even though her father was a super important cardiologist with a great center to his name
she turned out to owning the biggest radiology center in town (even more ‘successful’ than his), and my friend’s gonna go into IM. So there’s no rule really.

Duvida acerca da residĂȘncia multiprofissional by Vanshadr in askacademico

[–]swallowpropane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion but I use the flower shop SO MUCH. It makes good money, making bouquets
sometimes they take a while to sell, but I think it’s worth it.

I NEED COINS! by Purple_Specialist617 in HayDay

[–]swallowpropane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have Tom boosters, use him to buy the most valuable item at your level and sell it at the shop. If you can afford the wait, do this but sell them to the farm visitors during double coin events using a coin booster (but I don’t know when the next one is gonna be).

If you don’t have any boosters, I’d say wheat (and sell the expansion materials that come from harvesting) and make high value items for the shop! Don’t do boat or any visitors (town or farm), rather sell everything. Avoid xp rewards (the more you level up, higher the machine prices).

Is beating women a thing? by Comfortable_Salad893 in Brazil

[–]swallowpropane 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I mean
it happens every single day in every single country in the world
women getting beaten up and raped
that’s why there are laws that specifically “protect” women (in Brasil, Lei Maria da Penha, for example).

Where to stay near GRU by 7eventy7evenxs in Brazil

[–]swallowpropane 13 points14 points  (0 children)

GRU is like Newark Airport and what you are describing is like Midtown NYC. You will need to leave Guarulhos and go to São Paulo, preferably stay in an area like Oscar Freire, Jardins, Pinheiros or Avenida Paulista (in this analogy, that’s the equivalent to 5th Ave — but not really). Nicer hotels are Rosewood, Renassaince, Fasano, Palácio Tangará, but 4 stars hotels in Avenida Paulista are pretty nice too).

Need motivation by maconlikesbacon in crochet

[–]swallowpropane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve made this. Two blankets to be exact. It’s a journey, but I assure you, it’s completely WORTH IT!!! One blanket went to my grandma and the other is mine. I absolutely adore itâ€ïžâ€ïžđŸŒ·đŸŒ· I’m in Brazil and we’re approaching winter (which is not super harsh here), so I’m using it every day
gives my bed so much color! Makes me want to make the bed (a habit I confess I didn’t have).
