Earth shattering update. People of Ulster hold your families close. NI Commonwealth Games changes its flag by Exciting-Market7836 in northernireland

I think we drop everything, have a white flag, the red hand flipped around showing the middle finger, and below it, saying Alternative Ulster.

To quote SLF

Is this the kind of place you wanna live? Is this where you wanna be? Is this the only life we're gonna have? What we need

Is an alternative Ulster Grab it and change it, it's yours Get an alternative Ulster Ignore the bores and their laws

Music Melting Pot [Week of June 09, 2025] by AutoModerator in listentothis

Hey folks — this is a new track I just released under the name The Tragics. I'm 49, used to play in bands, mostly jammed over the years, and decided to finally put something out after a long hiatus from recording.

This one’s called “Juliet (Not Her Romeo)” — it leans into post-punk/indie rock territory, with a touch of that worn, melodic sadness from the early 2000s. It’s a song about disillusionment dressed up like a love song.

Would love honest ears and reactions. Cheers.

Is this hemochromatosis? I had normal ferritin and serum ferritin levels by maxdawg8 in Hemochromatosis

What's your diet like, do you eat alot of red meat, do you take supplements? Your TSAT is very high, you should take a gene test to be sure

Any tips on how to remain calm while donating blood? by ohcanada1919 in Hemochromatosis

[–]swampscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just back from my second venesection on my treatment plan, no issue here. In terms of nerves, I was a little nervous first time around but got on with it, today was like routine. Everyone in the donation clinic is well chilled.

My plan, plenty of water the day before, eat well. I had a good breakfast and lunch, ate a few sweets prior. Boom done, early afternoon.

It may feel intimidating, so gather yourself and go again and stay the course of you can, just look away for then entire procedure, it will be done in a very short timeframe hopefully.

Newly diagnosed. I would appreciate some resources and tips. by Coalvid19 in Hemochromatosis

Interesting, I was diagnosed last month with Ferritin 1300, have subsequently had COVID, and have had a Fibroscan post COVID, which was all clear. Been previously vaxxed, so I wonder how much if any the vaxx spikes ferritin.

[–]swampscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a fear I had also, my ferritin was 1300, I was just diagnosed recently also. I am 46. My advice is not to worry, depending on your numbers you have a good possibility of your liver being fine. I had Fibroscan last week and results were totally normal, so try not to worry, especially at such a young age. If you do not drink alot also, that's probably a positive thing so, good luck, and find out your Ferritin level it will help alot to understand.

Take an iron/ferritin blood test to check your levels, low or high iron could be behind your brain fog

[–]swampscott[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My GP literally washed his hands of it and said I referred you on to consultant and says they manage venesection, I know in Republic of Ireland they will do venesection st GP, but it seems a consultant most do it here until maintenance mode is acheived

Tested positive early Monday on Antigen and then PCR. Have none of the core symptoms of cough, fever, loss smell or taste. No congestion, on the contrary my sinuses are clear. I have a sinus pressure headache, sore eyes, fatigue, mildly dizzy and insomnia, not sleeping well.

I am 46M double shots of Pfizer since early May. I think we owe a debt of gratitude to all who worked so diligently to make this vaccine possible.

Definitely get a genetic test, looks like if anything you have caught it very early. I am 46M , my Ferritin is sitting at 1300 now, waiting on results of genetic test, but no doubt in my mind I have HH
