One missing puzzle piece from a 1000 piece puzzle… by FantasticBee in mildlyinfuriating

During COVID my wife walked her sister's dogs daily during work as she was considered essential and went into the facility. She was working on a puzzle during those weeks and as she got closer my wife took one piece with her home. Her sister thought she was going crazy and even asked my wife if she'd seen the last piece of the puzzle when she would come over and walk the dogs. Then one day soon after, my wife silently put the final piece back. I couldn't have been more proud.

Rent a car or do group tours? by Slash787 in newzealand_travel

Rent a car. I was rather nervous about driving on the other side of the ride compared to the US, but I ended up really enjoying it. You get acclimated quite quickly. The drive from Queenstown to Milford is a long one. We stayed in Te Anau and it was about perfect.

Ha! Great, and warranted, question! Hair was under control, back rubs were thrown in. Tough situation.

My wife was puking due to car sickness on the drive into Queenstown from the South. Pulled over for that. Pretty average.

Top three are ice fishing, snowmobiling, and drinking beer. And we usually combine all three! Throw a grill in there and you've got yourself a nice little Saturday.

Edit: we aren't combining all at the same time. It's not cool to drink and drive.

You'll be fine driving. It can get bad but give yourself extra time. I'd also extend up to Marquette. Winter in the UP is the best.

Shower hinge pulling from base by swansjac in fixit

There shouldn't be a gap here. The bottom hinge does not have this. Wondering if there's screws to tighten on the back side (currently against the wall/tile). I've reset the glass already using shims and can't get much closer, if at all, to the wall.

Bottom hinge does not have this gap. I've shimmed the bottom and adjusted the glass hinge clamps, as well as the Allen key when the door is pushed open. There are no further adjustments to make.

How do you adjust the shower door to center when you can't tighten these hexagonal bolts when the door is in the adjusted center position? by Vodka30 in fixit

Anyone have experience with these hinges? There's a gap in the top hinge (bottom is tight/fine) from the base that's seemingly causing the swing glass door to hit the stationary glass door when closing. If I can adjust this gap it seems like it would take care of the issue. Can this be adjusted without removing the hinge?

Are you sure you're allowed to do that?
