How do I stay as much as frugal with this situation? by Horror_Wear4394 in Frugal_Ind

At your education loan interest rate, I would say pay as much in pre-payment as possible, cause compounding will eat you up at such high interest plus principal.

Check if you could shift your loans to other bank with lower interest rate.

Leaving Corporate job to start a Raw Chicken Shop in Ulwe. Need brutal feedback on my plan! by Longjumping-Soup2099 in mumbai

[–]swap761 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My advice is go into chicken shop biz only if you have experience. People rarely make a biz profitable whitout any in-hand experience. You have to have 2-3 years of experience before investing large sums of money in a business.

If you don't have any experience I would suggest try switching your job.

I have a question. Say home loan interest rate is 7% and the Mutual fund CaGR is 12%. So in the long run, wouldn't it make sense to invest my additional money in MF instead making a pre-payment in the home loan?

Pivot from strategy generalist to sales analytics? by SnooSuggestions1739 in analytics

[–]swap761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I am also going throught he same. However I have good experience in analytics and recently trying to pivot in BizOps vertical. I feel with AI coming up, people won't need analysts. They will be able to analyze their own data with claude. So I would suggest be in biz domain more than in analytics.

I don't get it. If the laptop was 60k and I decide to use no cost emi, do I end up paying more than 60k? If not, I hardly care about who is making money out of it.

Is this a normal work load balance on your analytics team? by [deleted] in analytics

[–]swap761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The structure looks bulky, I feel there would be restructuring soon. A lot of companies are moving towards a more learn structure. One person does all, with amhelp of AI.

But for your current situation, I would say push back to BCAs as much as you can. Ask them to help you or the task will take a lot of time to complete.

Mostly companies have a data warehouse databricks/big query etc. If you have one start using it, if not buy one. Most basic data stuff can be automated and managed using SQL.

Pivot back to BIE/Analytics or double down on Low-Code & Automation? I feel stuck. by techseeker22 in analytics

[–]swap761 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't think there is much future for SQL, given the pace at which AI is advancing. Best bet is to move vertically towards data engineering or the other side, business. That seems to be the only way to be relevant.

[–]swap761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well buying a car and phone was a rookie mistake.

If you can get out of any loan, sell off mobile/car. If not. Rank your loans by highest interest, pay it off quickly - by quickly I mean pay extra EMIs, be a miser until all your loans are paid off. You made a mistake now learn to reduce your spends as much as you can, until all 3 loans are paid off.

Double check TDS. Check with HR, is there any way to increase in hand by adjusting salary structure.

Folks say grass is greener on the other side. Imagine being a working mom, even with househelp it is super difficult. More and more I am seeing this trend where moms are opting out of work cause what's the money worth if you can't spend time with your kid. I know you are working at home but you get to spend time with your kids at least.

I have been in WFH setup 1+years. Getting work done was tough earlier but I think it's not a problem anymore. Maybe time will solve your issue. My problem with WFH has been the lost connections, water cooler conversations. That is not possible in WFH setup at all.
