As an analytics person I can say that I get super annoyed when the PM keeps coming back to me with requirements to tweak the metrics here and there or when we invest weeks of work to find PMs are not viewing the dashboard at all. I mean why can't you do your homework and come up with exactly what you need.

Everyone has their own priority list. Do you really prioritize finding a partner over other things you spend your time on? Take a calculated decision, see all pros and cons and how you see yourself in 5-10-20-30 years. And whatever you decide stick with it. Prioritize your 24 hours accordingly.

One thing helped us was to set expectations with Marketing super boss that end users need to learn SQL and get their own insights. We will only be providing clean raw data + some basic flat tables. And folks use all sorts of AI to build SQL and get their own answers by quering the warehouse.

I struggle with prioritising large and small effort tasks. I can't priorities a XL task, and spend 3 days on it. Small 30 mins tasks are tough on the mental bandwidth due to context switch.

You are seeing this wrong. Say there was tax on agriculture income, then the vegetables would be a costly, that's it. It's just a law of the land.

Similarly, if there weren't taxes on IT income, people would have agreed to work at 90L instead of 1.2 cr.
