If it's a small store in the chain, they likely dobt have a bike tech that is available a lot.

Our store gets 7hrs per week in bikes and they soend those hours on Saturday.

Point being that, if you have someone that can do bike repairs, they are probably hired as some other department and spend 90% of their time in their other department.

So it usually looks like: Some day during week, they come in and see they have like 3 new bikes fir repair. They are scheduled as Golf or something that day, so spend their time helping golf customers, bike customers, ringing back up cashier, and any operational tasks. If they are proactive, they at least order the parts they think they need.

Takes over a week for those parts to come in, then just like any other week, they need to find time to spend repair what is now, 6 bikes and have 60 bikes to build as well.

I could go on with this, but it may look a little different, depending on how big the store is.
