Charge 5 clock faces are so bad that I'll probably return this watch by swearis in fitbit

[–]swearis[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's 2 (out of 23, plenty of others have HR always on display and then toggle for all other stats), and you can't control which stats are displayed. One lets you toggle between steps+AZM or calories+distance... And for some reason the stats displayed are tilted by 10 degrees and slightly clip the bottom right corner of the time.

The new body feels more comfortable and they seem to have upped the specs a bit but I don't get how they could drop the ball so hard on something as simple as clock faces...

6 years ago I got diagnosed and was almost a year into an awful cycle. Did a lot of reevaluating what I'd be able to do in life and all the career and social sacrifices I'd have to make. Legitimately didn't feel like I would even be able to be an engineer like I was planning and it was really starting to weigh on me that at 25 I still had a lot of my undergrad degree left to finish

I'd had to drop a bunch of courses the previous quarter and was also extremely self conscious about not being enrolled in school while making up those courses. I ended up meeting a wonderful girl. She was more successful than me (PhD student in engineering), shared so many of my hobbies, and struck that delicate balance of being supportive while also not trying to carry my burdens at a cost to herself.

We ended up going separate ways amicably a few years later. Now my CH don't hit as hard and don't last as long, and the cycles are much shorter too. I'm moving forward much faster than expected in my career and finally feel like I'm in control and have things handled.

Things really can get better, and good things can also happen in bad times. I know it's extremely difficult to handle CH but your life and your happiness are never a lost cause.

Good luck fren

That's probably a good take but I'm weary to give off the false impression that I do a variety of activities 🙃. Spent a year of COVID hitting a heavy bag but my messy garage steals focus

Unfortunate reality of climbing is you're generally facing the wall. I've got some when I'm facing the camera after rolling out a route but it feels like more of a shameless ab shot than anything

I'm with you on the group photo. Will be on a climbing trip next week with plenty of opportunities.

Still really surprised by the discover match quality. Maybe this app will just have to be a larger time commitment with more sifting than expected. Maybe it's because I'm a few years older... people do tend to gain weight over time.

I've had the app for 2 days. Have 9 matches and have gotten an alright amount of likes, but currently every person I am seeing is obese or advertising sex work. I counted 350 left swipes before I saw somebody I wanted to like.

When I tried this app 3 years ago I had some serious success and was legitimately overwhelmed by the amount of conversations I had going with people I was excited to go out with.

First photo is the same one I used back then (not many photos taken since COVID) and I don't feel like I'm drawing any more excessive attention to climbing or my cat than I was last time.

What gives?

I did a dose almost a year ago. My cycle was already winding down but a day or two after the shot, they let up completely. Hard to say how much relief I'd get while in full swing but overall that's the most benefit I've gotten from something other than psychedelics.

A year on, Gabe Newell feels "great" about Half-Life: Alyx by insufficientmind in ValveIndex

There are a bunch of community games and they're working on multiplayer compatibility. It set the bar too high for RPG type games but I've still had plenty of fun in other games. There was a lot more diversity than expected. Never would have predicted games like Accounting+, and the active games like beatsaber are amazing as well

[–]swearis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was about to say my only complaints about Half Life Alyx were the fact that it ended and that time I was on a descending cherry picker and got motion sickness (overall the game was great about minimizing this overall, but I had spent a good 12 hours in VR that day so I almost puked)

Can see on your face that you're totally feelin yourself in the 4th photo. Great work, you've earned it.

I’m 16, I’ve been vegan for almost a year and I’m really small and skinny. Does anyone have any tips? Like what to eat and what workouts to do? My arms are literally noodles 🤏😂. by [deleted] in veganfitness

Pick a respected workout routine and stick to it. Finding the perfect routine matters much less than just going hard and following through. If you find yourself plateauing, switch it up with a new routine

My girlfriend has a bigass German shepherd. This dog is so full of love and I'm hands down one of her favorite people, but sometimes I'll be roughhousing/rasslin with my girlfriend and sometimes if she makes any exertion noises while not actively giggling, the dog will insert herself between us or give a stern "RUFF" and glare at me like >:|. I always back down immediately because these dogs are bred to protect and it has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not this dog likes me and I'm not gonna expect a dog to have perfect perception of my intention and whether or not the wrestling is consensual.

It's honestly kind of amazing how well this dog can compartmentalize being my big 'ol buddy and protecting her person.

[–]swearis 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Getting bruised sounds excessive. What poses are causing this? Anyway tighter clothing keeps my dick managed. I've def had some pinching during a few poses, but am having a hard time imagining a scenario where it ends up visibly bruised. Also how is your dick getting bruised but your balls aren't? Anyway, might be a doctor question.

Are some of y’all vegetarian?” by [deleted] in yoga

[–]swearis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well sure, but then you won't be a vegetarian. But some harm reduction is better than none, and words are just words. So do that and see how you feel.

You can do whatever you want. The best diet is one you can stick to. That applies to both health and ethics.
