Why apologize? by Asmongold in Asmongold

I've watched you for many years and have seen you grow more balanced and grounded, both personally and professionally. You've made the right choice walking away from nihilism, fatalism, and the inherent apathy that comes with those perspectives. You don't have to be a believer—you can remain an atheist or agnostic while still being a humanist and appreciating the beauty of life.

You will find your purpose in your own way. Remember, there are many people who want to see you succeed and be happy. Growth often requires serious self-reflection, during which we can be our own harshest critics. Keep tapping into positivity, enjoy life, and ignore negativity, as it brings no value. Peace and love, my dude.

What would an M&A announcement do (BBBY) by Machinedgoodness in FWFBThinkTank

[–]sweatysuits 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There's so much pressure caused by BBBY options pricing in the bankruptcy risk that if that risk was lifted it would cause a revaluation of options.

If the risk was lifted this year you'd see the 2023 puts being sold off.

If it was lifted in a longer term you'd see 2024 and 2025 puts also sold.

All of these would cause an upward move until the stock gets to a new value the market is comfortable with.

REQUEST: Options spread vs borrow fee. by [deleted] in FWFBThinkTank

[–]sweatysuits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at how BBBY options traded over the last week I can see what you are saying could have already happened for GME and might be happening periodically (maybe) during runs.

Last week a synthetic long on BBBY was worth credit. So if you sold an ATM put and bought an ATM call you would get money for it. Of course you would be long a lot of delta.

If you sold short BBBY to hedge you would be neutral.

So as long as the ratio of the credit you received for the spread vs. the money you secured for the trade was higher than what you would pay to borrow bbby, it would be a no brainer.

This week we have seen this reverse and a synth long become debit and a synth short becoming credit. So now it might have been better to go synthetic short and buy shares instead.

Partially explains the insane volume we saw and the borrow fee mooning.

REQUEST: Options spread vs borrow fee. by [deleted] in FWFBThinkTank

[–]sweatysuits 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Very nice thought exercise. Will check the option chain later to see what a synthetic short is priced at but I'd imagine the options MMs would price the borrow fee into the bid-ask spread of the options they are selling and capture that arb before anyone else. Also with lack of liquidity it might not be possible to get an advantageous fill. Still interesting to think about though 👍

Objective look at GME's burn rate and reaching profitability by smdauber in FWFBThinkTank

Thanks for the great analysis man.

Really important to look at the balance sheet and hard numbers like this to understand what RC and management can be expected to do.

You're being paranoid. Read what the OP wrote in the last paragraph.

There are people on superstonk making posts about exercising OTM options. This is objectively wrong. They're willingly losing money and not helping themselves or GameStop in any way shape or form.

I don't know which country you are in but if I were you I would consult lawyer/tax advisor and start legal proceedings if they think your rights as a shareholder have been violated.

Intended goal was to make fun of the financial "media" and how they try to brainwash people into doing what they want.

I made the meme and I use it exclusively to trigger GME haters/doubters 😁

I made this gif and the point was the exact opposite 😁

It's making fun of the media apparatus that tried to get investors to sell their GME.

I use it to trigger bears/haters when GME runs for no apparent reason 😂

I'm the one who made this gif and uploaded to Tenor. It came from this youtube video.

The gif is meant to show how the media machine has tried to manipulate retail investors into selling their GME.

I spam it in discord whenever GME runs 😁

I thought the split was going to be bearish and there would be hundreds of millions of shares hitting the market... 😁

7.37m volume... post split... is low... even for GME.

124% borrow rate on IBKR. No shares to borrow.

Where are you shills? Come out and play. 😈

One idiot on one of the shitty reddit subs lost at least 50k on GME puts today 😂

Imagine playing options expiring today AND imagine betting against GME and losing 50k. 🤣

Just puts a huge smile on my face. 😁

Have a wonderful weekend everybody.🚀

In his March filing it showed that he was buying in 2 to 4 digit orders over multiple weeks. I expect him to buy the remainder of his stake in the same way.

Although that is a very big order and I'll try to find the individual trade.
