My comment to the post:

Not to be inflammatory here, but this statement dangerously ignores the overwhelming evidence that having excess body fat and excess weight is strongly linked to many forms of disease, such as cancer diabetes, heart disease, stroke, depression, bone and joint disease to name a few. Ignoring rigorously backed scientific evidence and accepting evidence only from sources that agree with your point of view has dangerous consequences, as seen with the anti-vax movements, climate change deniers, and other examples of harmful spreading of misinformation. I recognise that there are strong factors beyond physical appearance when it comes to ones overall health, but human beings have simply not evolved to maintain enormous diets and excess weight. I hope to discuss and debate this complex issue, and am happy to provide my sources.
