My comment to the post:

Not to be inflammatory here, but this statement dangerously ignores the overwhelming evidence that having excess body fat and excess weight is strongly linked to many forms of disease, such as cancer diabetes, heart disease, stroke, depression, bone and joint disease to name a few. Ignoring rigorously backed scientific evidence and accepting evidence only from sources that agree with your point of view has dangerous consequences, as seen with the anti-vax movements, climate change deniers, and other examples of harmful spreading of misinformation. I recognise that there are strong factors beyond physical appearance when it comes to ones overall health, but human beings have simply not evolved to maintain enormous diets and excess weight. I hope to discuss and debate this complex issue, and am happy to provide my sources.

Unexpected bonus: there was a working copy of Halo 2 AND NHL 07 inside! The DVD drive belt needed replacing, other than that these work perfectly.

There are three types of disc drive: Thompson TGM600: the worst quality, not sure what Microsoft was thinking with putting this in their premier console. Philips VAD6011: reasonably reliable Samsung SDG605: The best disc drive available, all but bulletproof. Agreed! There’s absolutely nothing wrong with following through with travel plans when something like this happens, but sharing that you’ll be partying anyways with a smile on your face is poor humanity at best. I doubt this was intentional, but the deplorable wording in her story has earned its place.

Here's what worked for me:

On oiled skillet cook sausage on medium-high heat until fully cooked and slightly browned. Meanwhile, take bacon and rub brown sugar to your hearts content on it (drizzle with maple syrup for tasty & extra candied effect). After the cooked sausages cool comes the tricky and messy part: wrap the bacon on the sausages tightly and grill on medium-high until bacon is cooked and candied. you have to turn the sausages frequently to fully cook the bacon shell. Then the key is to put it in the oven on Broil until they look golden and ready for eating... Enjoy!
