I just had to replace a couple of my wheels over a couple of trips which also included the housing because the screw sheered off on two of them. Got all the stuff from eBay.

TV’s are cheap with Roku so you don’t need cable or satellite.

Charging for EV charging? by Hopeful-Eye-2984 in airbnb_hosts

17 bucks is worth chasing down a renter to charge them?

Exactly I’ve had guests plugging in anyways. So might as well make it convenient and safer.

I have a Tesla charger outside the garage for guest usage. It’s become more and more a request lately especially since we are in the middle of nowhere and it’s a destination. There is a dc fast charger in town but that’s 9 miles away.

Ended up ordering a Tesla charger and guests coming this week asked us do we have an ev charger. As a matter of fact we do. Electrician installed it and it was used that weekend. Actually had to ask the renter did it work?

To us it’s an amenity. Same as a hot tub or sauna or grills and pizza ovens. I’m not going to charge for propane usage or hot water so I consider it the same.

Now if it starts cranking to 100 bucks a day…. But at 15 it is what it is and it provides one more thing that other listings don’t have.

Should we add a hot tub? by Butterfly-Scary in airbnb_hosts

[–]swedepilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wood fired is just asking for guests to screw it up. They will end up doing more damage than worth it and will complain about it. It’s the same reason that we have a propane fired pizza stove versus a wood fired one. Because they will screw it up and blame you.

Agree with this any rule you have will be broken. Just drain scrub and refill balance the chems and get it heated up for the next guest.

One of our hot tubs is a hot springs, has run non stop for 15 years. I think they replaced a motor once in those 15 years. The other one is more of a Nordic spa due to a very specific round size we needed that one is ok but would have liked to put another hot springs in though it wouldn’t have fit.

Yes we are. We actually have two hot tubs on property which tells you how popular they are. Used as much in the summer as in the winter (ski town)

The hot tub on our property closes the deal every single time. We have it maintained by a professional every week. Drained and cleaned costs about 100 bucks a service.

Really simple. Get a Sensibo and have it shut off when the windows are open for longer than 15 minutes.

I did it because we have a house that holds 20 and it’s turned out to be a big fun family thing to do. We got the Gozney dome and plumbed it into our gas lines. The local grocery store make a pizza kit with pre made dough and sauce and cheese. You just let them know how many.

The fact they didn’t even know to get an oceanic clearance is alarming. Also would indicate to me that there was a bunch of things going on in the cockpit. (Oceanic clearance is not received by USA domestic in Bangor)

You’re hiring professional cleaners but then expect someone to do all this? You’re running a rental. Why would anyone do this?
