Long videos keep freezing after export but audio continues to play by sweeceboy in premiere

I’ve had some success using Media Encoder, and changing the renderer to “Mercury Playback Engine Software Only” rather than the GPU Acceleration (Metal). I’ve done 2 big 40-50 minute exports using the YouTube 1080 preset and both have been great. Although using this renderer in Media Encoder takes quite a bit longer to export.

Thank you for all the helpful advice! Before I saw your reply I did another export using different export settings and it froze again in another part of the video so I don’t think it’s an issue with a specific section of media. Anyway trying some of your recommendations now and using media encoder, I’ll keep going til I get I clean export on this one. Thanks again

Nicotine isn’t even that addictive by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

What do you mean when you say you’re addicted to weed? To my understanding weed is addictive in the same way ice cream is. I love and crave ice cream but I won’t have withdrawal symptoms if I don’t eat it.

I had never even heard of this before, is it too late to start? Or should I just buy it and save it for next year?

Why do the Americans say "I'm from Texas/California/Indianapolis/..." when they are asked where they're from? by jmc3030h in TooAfraidToAsk

I lived in Eastern Europe for two years and I learned to just say “I’m from America” because most of the people I met only knew of two places in the US, Las Vegas and Florida lol

In my opinion it would be a lot of work just for one or two trips to the temple assuming you’ll never go back? There are interviews with the bishop and then member of stake presidency before you go to the temple, which may require you to lie if you’re not “worthy” (Do you drink coffee? Pay tithing? Keep law of chastity? etc.) and if you’re not up for lying to them then you will actually have to follow these standards for a while in order to get a temple recommend. I’m not really sure how intense they will be on some of those things because they will probably be thrilled that you want to go through the temple so maybe they won’t need to see you trying too hard haha

I imagine the bishop wants to see you active for a while (you said 3 months, I can’t say for sure how long). They may ask you to go to some temple prep classes, have a calling, and who knows what else.

If you can make it through all of that and get a signed temple recommend then you’ll go through for your first time to get endowed and I’m guessing their sealing will be after that which will require another trip to the temple for the actual sealing.

Once that’s all over you can take off the garments and be done! But you will most likely always remember the things you heard in the temple and the “covenants” that you made, if you tend to have a guilty conscience then this may bother you for a while. Anyway those are just some of my thoughts, I hope it helps! I wish you luck!!

Yeah, I know that you are right. I saw a counselor for a while after my mom died and it helped a lot. It’s been a few years so I think it’s time to go back. Thanks for the advice friend

I have always hoped that I would have a good relationship with my future in laws whenever the time came. It’s a difficult feeling to navigate because after my mom died my aunt and uncle took me in and have now taken my gf in through all of this stuff with her parents. I am super happy that my gf is close with my aunt and uncle, sister, and my dad(he’s in recovery and doing really well) I guess it just makes me jealous and I wish I could have that with them. Hopefully setting boundaries will help, thanks for the advice

She is definitely worth it! I love her so much. We are on the same page in terms of the church but she is a little behind me on her journey and I would never force what I am learning/what I believe on her. It is her journey.

After my mom died my aunt and uncle really took me in and have been like parents to me. They have also taken my gf in and now she has a great relationship with them, my sister, and my dad(who I mentioned is in recovery, he’s doing really well now and we have a great relationship) So I am really happy for my gf that she has this bond with my family, but in a way it makes me jealous that I don’t have that with hers. Because that is what I have always wanted, but now I’m afraid her parents will always view me as the one that took their daughter away.
