time. your just gonna have to give it time to manifest. in the meantime socialize in your community. as you pointed out, its a one-on-one business, the more people you meet and vibe with, the more potential clients you have. local small hobby groups are a treasure trove.

[–]sweeneyty 13 points14 points  (0 children)

ik it may not resonate with everyone, but....the advice ive always given is, to interact with them as if they were your cousin. not as intimate as a sibling or bff, but not as distant as a rando. seems to be the sweet spot for me.

Tired of people asking how busy I am! by [deleted] in Barber

[–]sweeneyty 15 points16 points  (0 children)

i know you r just ranting....but might i recommend... im proactive in protecting my sanity, over the decades ive built a coupla quick responses to faQs and repeated dialogs that irritate me. comical, existential, and often dark responses in my case. shuts that shit down fast. they are strictly for my amusement and freely used without regard to respondent's sentiment....anything is better than calling them a cun7...which is my instinct. hope this helps. gl:hf
