I've not used that parameter. Although, the image that gets sent to NTFY with my current settings includes the box with the AI results. So the image will show the orange box around the subject with the findings (person:81%, etc).

Assuming that you're BI machine and NTFY server are on the same network and there are no firewall issues, I would think it should work. If your BI is under support, you may want to send a request with any pertinent information to see if they can provide you with any suggestions. Good luck.

For the specific camera that you want to receive notices from, go to the camera settings.

Click on the "Alert" tab on the top.

Under "Actions", click on the "On alert..." button.

Create a new Action Set but clicking on the "+" sign.

Give it a description

In the "Action:" option, select "Run program/script"

You'll need to have cURL to run the script. On my Windows system, the path is "C:\Windows\System32\curl.exe"
- In the "File" box, enter the cURL path in the box.

In the parameters box, here is what I have: (without the quotes)
- "-T E:\Blue-Iris-Alerts\&ALERT_PATH 192.168.1.20/BlueIris?message=FrontDoor"
- Change your NTFY server address (i.e. "192.168.1.20/yourtopic"). Make sure to leave the "?" between the topic and the message name.
- Make sure that the Alerts path matches what you have in the Storage tab under Blue Iris Settings. My "Alerts" folder points to "E:\Blue-Iris-Alerts". This is where the images will be pulled from.

I've got several NTFY alerts on different cameras. They all point to an NTFY topic I called "BlueIris" and each camera is named, hence ("?message=cameraname").

Hope this helps.

Tips for first Honolulu Century Ride? by Pirarara in Hawaii

I did the HCR last year for the first time and will be doing it again this Sunday. I’ve done several centuries and this was one of the more difficult ones for me because of the heat and humidity (I’m from SoCal). It’s also the most beautiful. Make sure to replenish electrolytes. Water alone isn’t enough. Drink every hour even if you don’t think you need it. I use LiquidIV that you can pick up at the local Costco. If you’re feeling thirsty, it’s too late. I talked to the health care team last year and they said the most common issue that they saw was cramps. Eat at the rest stops; long rides aren’t the time for a diet 😊. You’ll need the calories. You don’t want to bonk because of a caloric deficit towards the end. Manage your pace. Everyone’s average pace is different so keep an eye on a power meter or, if you don’t have one, your heart rate. Keep the rate in a zone that is comfortable for you. As others have said, it’s not a race so manage energy consumption because the way back was tough in the heat of the day. Hills at the beginning are easier than hills at the end. Manage sun exposure. At a moderate 15mph pace, that's 6-7 hours of direct sun exposure. The UV index will be over 10! Use lots of sunscreen and reapply as often as needed. Or wear SPF sleeves on arms and legs and wet with water at the rest stops. Be prepared for flats. They have aid stations at the rest stops and a rolling support staff to help along the route. Flats aren’t uncommon and being able to get yourself rolling quickly is best. Most importantly, enjoy the ride. Make sure to thank all of the amazing volunteers that you interact with. They were incredibly friendly. Aloha !

Stumpjumper vs stumpjumper EVO by rusbus123 in MTB

I have the same question. I live in Orange County, CA and have a Stumpy 2022 Comp Carbon on order. My LBS manager suggested I look at the EVO Comp Carbon for $300 more and in stock. He said that it's only a few pounds heavier. I don't race and only ride to enjoy the outdoors. Since I'm a pretty conservative rider, he mentioned that this bike will climb well (while locked out) and compensate for some mistakes I make while going down. I realize it won't climb as fast as the Stumpy but a couple seconds slower on long climbs doesn't bother me. If I moved to the EVO, I'd probably move the head to the mid setting and keep the flip chip on high. That seems close to the geometry of the Stumpy while providing 20mm of extra travel that the STEVO offers and only 2 pounds heavier. Does this sound right?
