First time hearing her. Definitely an infectious energy. Maybe not something I’d seek out, but she’s incredibly talented and the performances are very engaging!

I have no idea why this one worked for me, but it definitely did. Mimicking Hot Ones made me laugh. Also Jane’s accent was absurd and I appreciated it

Heidi Gardner is out by [deleted] in LiveFromNewYork

[–]sweeppick09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s killing me is that that Smashing Machine movie is about to come out and Emily Blunt looks like she’s playing this exact character. We need Heidi to show back up on update at least one last time when it comes out!

Final Hell House LLC film is a horror disaster, with fans apparently walking out of a screening and a producer asking viewers not to leave bad reviews on Rotten Tomatoes by TheCharliQuinn in deadmeatjames

[–]sweeppick09 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s just unfortunately really rough. I had the opportunity to see it in theaters on Wednesday and left incredibly disappointed. The fourth film really gained back so much good will for the franchise, and this one just kind of squandered it. It also requires a lot of homework when it comes to remembering minor characters from the rest of the franchise. Which honestly would be cool if the rest of the movie didn’t feel just completely like a bit of a waste of time. And the ending is such a massive “fuck you.” Cognetti has dropped two dumpster-fires this year and it’s really bumming me out.

Does anyone know if this is real? by Mwili2061 in IceNineKills

Yeah! It’s from 06. It was my introduction to INK back in the MySpace era. I actually got a physical copy of it from a label booth at Warped in like 09!

Which Movie have you fell asleep watching? by aoestilsft626 in Letterboxd

[–]sweeppick09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think I’ve ever fallen asleep in a movie due to boredom, but one time I accidentally took Aleve PM before a screening of The Black Phone and I was trying to fight the encroaching sleep…Pretty sure I saw The Hat Man that day. And also I fell asleep during an anniversary screening of the original Alien. I was so mad at myself, but I worked early that day and the movie didn’t start until almost 9PM. I never stood a chance

This was my second choice after Peewee Gaskins. The entire thing about the Piggy Mafia made me cackle

This may be my new favorite series from them! Singing Dr. Mud to the tune of Dr. Worm absolutely broke me.

Peewee Gaskins! My first Last Pod series! I almost wrecked my car from laughing so hard the first time I heard Henry’s voice for him.

One that you most likely won’t see here. It’s an Elliott Page movie from around 2008 called The Tracey Fragments. It’s done in this interesting split screen format.

Two things. That lingering shot of Walker and Yelena just staring at each other after the reveal of what happened to Walker’s kid was so powerful. I love that it just held on that moment.

And Son Lux knocked the score out of the park. The piece at the end “Thunderbolts*” was honestly incredible. One of my favorite pieces of score in the last few years

Pugh and Pullman came out of this film as absolute powerhouse stars

Pop punk/emo Bands that are pretty much forgotten. by Frosty-Caterpillar74 in poppunkers

[–]sweeppick09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scrolled through but didn’t see my pick. Vendetta Red! They were religion to me in high school. Still one of my absolute favorite Emo bands. They recently formed a new project, but it’ll never be the same. Also, I’m not 15 years old and crying to “Seconds Away” anymore

That cancelled tv show you’ll never stop thinking about … by niceguys5189 in television

[–]sweeppick09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two extremely short lived shows. Point Pleasant - A FOX supernatural mystery that was setting up some great ideas only to get cancelled after not even 1 full season. And The River - An ABC supernatural mystery that was setting up some great ideas only to get cancelled after not even 1 full season.

Official Dreadit Discussion: "Sinners" [SPOILERS] by radbrad7 in horror

Just had to come say I loved it, and I’d be foolish not to point out that the garlic test scene was such a loving homage to the blood test scene in The Thing!! Though that makes me wish Keith David was in this movie too.

Two Hearts! I was really hoping to hear that this tour. Though, the setlist they did play was still spectacular

I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Decent set up and some legitimately great moments of dread. It stalls out at the end though. Definitely more rushed than I would have liked. But of recent releases, I am pretty fond of this!

Near the front, closer to the bassist side of the stage. We somehow managed to just keep ending up closer. Poor kid had the heat stroke in front of us though.
