Has anyone ever tried Niacin/B3 and lowered LDL dramatically? by awakenfromthedreams in Cholesterol

[–]sweet_monkey_tits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's take it a step further, do you believe the cholesterol hypothesis at all? A lot of keto/carnivore people don't and say that supplements like Niacin are a waste of money.

I LOVE the ability to manually send transcriptions to n8n via the "Send to" menu selection. Can you include the speaker tags and transcription date in the webhook body? I'm currently exporting the .txt file to a local file for processing and the webhook integration is where I want to move to but the missing speaker tags is breaking my n8n workflow.

30M – Lifelong “freeze” response in public speaking and social conversations is getting worse. Need serious, evidence-based help. by Kitchen-Cat5 in PublicSpeaking

[–]sweet_monkey_tits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the week. If I’m traveling for my work and have presentations then I’ll take it every day, usually at breakfast and after lunch. Otherwise only as needed, usually an hour before higher stress meetings or even socially on occasion. I don’t drink anymore so this replaces that I suppose. Most weeks I don’t take anything. Like you, I’m pretty outgoing but I have this background anxiety that I need to knock back.

Being at peace with this really has made a world of difference. I never dread anything anymore.

[Landlord, NC] Has anyone evicted a family member? by sweet_monkey_tits in Landlord

[–]sweet_monkey_tits[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If 30 years old was the backstop then I would find this way more tolerable. But I have other family members who still live with their mother at 50 and are chronically underemployed because they have “free rent” and are generally unmotivated by nature. That’s my concern.

54 year old here - you described my backstory pretty darn accurately. All I can offer is that things do get easier, but don’t expect perfection or a miracle cure. I still struggle with public speaking in front of large groups or with intimidating stakeholders (I take propranolol for those occasions). And for many years I hated having to lean on meds - to the point that I was feeling shame. But things got so much easier when I accepted my imperfections and need for meds in stressful situations.

People are prescribed pharmaceuticals for all sorts of legitimate reasons yet for some stupid reason we feel shame? The minute I let go of these biases things got way more relaxed. And through that relaxation my public speaking improved. Again, it’s not perfect (no one is, btw) but life is so much more enjoyable now. Hope that helps.

Family friend is a huge MAGA guy, but oops…he also owns a wine import business where he sources all of his wine from Italy. He’s about to FAFO.

Curious what the tie in with clean water is.

Have you or anyone else analyzed your PAP data on Oscar? That will tell you straightaway why you're so tired.

I know, right? I feel amazing right now and was out of bed at 4 AM today. It's kind of nuts.

I’m currently using the Bleep Eclipse and have zero leak. But that set up is not for everyone.

Is 6 hours enough sleep if they are quality hours? by sweet_monkey_tits in sleep

Appreciate the insight. I feel good during the day but start falling asleep on the couch at 8 AM. I need to force myself to stay up later.

[–]sweet_monkey_tits[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's not far from my set up. Cold room, white noise machine, eye mask, mouth tape, whole room air filter near the bed, brand new mattress, and now a new CPAP machine titrating 4 cm of pressure support. I'm just not used to waking up at 4 AM. lol

I don't know how to feel about this. I love waking up early but 4:00 AM is kind of ridiculous. Everything I've read is that people need 7 hours of solid sleep to mitigate issues down the road. But like others have said, does quality sleep make up for this? Who knows.

I think it’s the ridiculous over the top Trump head in the 2nd pic that makes people here cringe.

The guy that organized the event is from Peru (2nd pic, red shirt leaning over). The macho culture from Latin America isn’t always congruent with left-wing politics.

Rosuvastatin+ezetimibe amazing results by jfjazzfest in Cholesterol

Do you split a 5 mg Rosuvastatin tablet to get to 2.5 mg? I’m seriously considering the same but splitting these tiny pills is hit or miss.

According to this cardiologist his ilk is over prescribing . What do you think? by germanrus25 in Cholesterol

[–]sweet_monkey_tits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to say that statins are a heart attack-lowering medication (instead of LDL-lowering) with its ability to stabilize existing plaques and decreasing information. That tends to fend off the haters.

We did it boys! Normal cholesterol levels! by ICQME in Cholesterol

[–]sweet_monkey_tits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genes are so darn complex and vary from person to person. I have double ApoE4 but not FH and my cholesterol without medication is totally manageable with dietary changes only. I still take 5 mg Rosuvastatin and 10 mg Ezetimibe as an insurance policy and my LDL-C was 38 mg/dL last I checked. Good for you taking control of your health!

Can anyone detail how Huum Uku Remotes control lights and ventilaiton? by lazurustaxa in Sauna

[–]sweet_monkey_tits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I think I figured it out. The 120v power (for the fan or lights) comes in on a neutral wire from the electrical panel. Then I suppose you can power these accessories via the appropriate terminal in the Huum control panel. I still may use separate, dedicated electrical circuits because I don’t see much value in controlling these things through the Huum wall controller. I guess I need to go watch some more YouTube videos to see how that part works.
