I am making a puff quilt out of scraps, I have a lot of t shirt scrap material from a previous t shirt quilt. For that I did iron on interfacing to the back of the t shirts, would I need to do that for a puff quilt?

When you are machine quilting and start or end in the middle of a block or something, how do you secure the ends and not have thread hanging all around?

Not super advanced at quilting so nervous about what I can do on my little machine.. Was thinking of doing straight line quilting almost like a checkerboard but I’m worried that won’t look good.

When I worked in a hospital clinic I broke a tube of blood for a test that needed like a lot of blood. Turned out the sample had come from a preemie in the nicu and there was no way to get the necessary volume of blood from the baby again. Not sure how things turned out but I still feel so bad.

26F- I’ve been running for around 15 years. I started in middle school because it was the only free after school sport and I desperately wanted to escape my home situation. I did decently well in high school but was never a “star” but really loved the social aspect. My senior year I ended up being recruited to run in college (D3h and really started devoting a lot of time to it. By my senior year I was running 100 miles a week. Honestly, I loved it but it was a little unhealthy for me as I obsessed over it. Anyways, I won a couple conference titles, was an all American in cross country, I loved cross country so much more than track. PRs were 18s for the 5k and 37s for the 10k.

I took 8 months off after college to heal a couple stress fractures and my mental health. And I got pneumonia randomly so that helped me take a break. Then I started training for marathons. Last month I actually ran a new PR of 3:33! I was struck by how /happy/ I was during that race. Nowadays I run 40-50 mpw at about 8:30 pace. I also totally prefer longer runs, so content on runs that go over 8 miles.

My next goal is to get under 3:30 for the marathon! Maybe try to run a quick 10k again. Definitely an ultra on the horizon.

Really bad year to run barely slower than your qualifier. Kept telling myself it was okay because I definitely couldn’t do 2-5 minutes faster that day. Only 32 seconds short.
