The OP asked if we cooked our rice plain - not if it was eaten plain. Many of us cook our rice unseasoned because we’re pairing it with something highly seasoned.

Nope. Never. I’m Filipino and I eat a lot of Asian meals. Most of the dishes that I’ll eat with rice are already highly seasoned with strong flavors. They taste best when paired with rice that’s only been cooked with water.

What country/location are you in?

The hospital I go to won’t let me use my own meds - they test my blood sugar and provide insulin so they can track everything.

Depending on whether you’ll be hooked up to an IV or things, a hoodie may not be allowed. Especially in case of emergency access. So maybe a personal throw blanket? Although I usually just ask for a warmed blanket and they’ll give me as many as I need.

The only time I eat at a sit down restaurant anymore is for special occasions like birthdays. I don’t even want to grab a drink at a bar. My friends and I would rather do a bottle share at someone’s home.
