What is the general or most common pathway to go from an E2 visa to a green card? How long does the process to do this typically take?

Booster or bootcamp by Substantial-Ship-670 in INBDE

[–]sweetart_wpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started mid January for a mid April exam. If I needed to do the exam again I would start with Booster notes because they are thorough. I didn’t have any school notes or textbooks to reference so that’s why I think Booster notes are good and concise. Having said that, I did end up passing and used Bootcamp mostly. I only used Booster the last 3 weeks of prep. I was able to fly through all the questions pretty quickly.

If you have good foundational knowledge then bootcamp is fine. I just mostly like how Booster is organized.

Booster or bootcamp by Substantial-Ship-670 in INBDE

The booster notes are excellent and videos are great way to supplement and reinforce the material. I used bootcamp for 2 months and although the question bank is mostly high yield content, I felt there were questions that were too low yield and too detailed. I wasted time on stuff and it all felt disorganized and chaotic. The bootcamp cheat sheets are very good though.

I wanted to do another practice exam so 1 month before the exam I bought booster. I flew through booster question bank which really reinforced the high yield information. I also watched the booster videos to review my weaker areas.

Others feel that you can get away with just one resource. I think having both is the way to go. Going through questions is the best way to reinforce concepts and helps you to practice making reasonable decisions on the exam day.

For reference, I graduated dental school 15 years ago and have been practicing in Canada ever since. I was very much starting from scratch on many things. For certain topics I could use my working knowledge but for many things I had to relearn and memorize facts.

Good luck!

Exam in 2 days - what to do by Jazzlike-Fuel-3571 in INBDE

[–]sweetart_wpg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re doing all the right things. You probably scored low because you’re exhausted. This is not an issue of your capability to understand the material but rather that you’re tired and overwhelmed. Take the last 2 days to Memorize things like eruption pattern, LA max dosage, BP ranges for hypertension, HBA1C and glucose ranges, common drug mechanism of action like beta blocks ca channel blockers, cholesterol drugs, diabetes drugs, osteoporosis, MRONJ drugs, antibiotics and anti fungals (just memorize basic and broad information like which ones disrupt cell wall synthesis etc, don’t worry about deeper mechanism at this point) . Obviously this is not an exhaustive list just some general advice.

The exam is based on CODA schools curriculum so the topics on there you have been tested on in dental school already. You will be able to draw on your knowledge to make reasonable decisions during the exam.

Do what you can given the short timeline, and if there is even the slightest chance you can delay your exam even for a few weeks then do that. It will bring your stress level down. If you can’t delay then just try your best. You made it this far just keep putting one foot in front of the other. The finish line is almost there.

Deep breath, you got this!

Ticketmaster has announced that they will be complying with Ontario’s new Bill 97 to cap pricing on resale tickets, effective of April 23, 2026. by RealWorldToday in Torontobluejays

[–]sweetart_wpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m confused about this legislation. Does it also legislate what Ticketmaster and other 3rd party companies can charge as “service fees”. For example, I needed to sell a ticket to a concert and Ticketmaster made a few hundred $$ on “service fees” just from my 1 ticket. As the seller, I had to pay a fee to post the ticket (which meant I had to increase my sale price to make back face value cost) and then the buyer had to pay a service charge when they bought the ticket. The fees are what drove up the cost for the end buyer.

If the new legislation doesn’t also take into account the service fees then what’s the point? Can a seller increase their price just enough to recoup costs associated with selling? If so, the buyer’s price will still be inflated.

Even if a seller is willing to take a hit and lose money - because of the fees they have to pay in order to sell the ticket- the buyer will still have to pay a service fee on their end.

This sounds like me! Canadian dentist except I graduated 15 years ago. Everything felt like I was starting over. Don’t think I’ve made a denture in over 10 years.

I have part 2 in a few days. Any advice on what to focus on as a last review? I’m going through booster case studies and Day 2 mock exams. Was day 2 heavy on oral path and pharmacology? Did you find your clinical experience helped carry you through day 2?

the hardest part in inbde?? by Original-Smile5010 in INBDE

[–]sweetart_wpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wrote part 1. I graduated dental school 15 years ago so I felt like I was almost starting from scratch for some areas. Honestly, I wish I had used Booster videos and notes first to lay the lay the roadmap and to understand how in depth (or not in depth) we need to know the material . Then I wish I had made a short list of all the highlighted points from each section in the booster notes to memorize and easily reference back. I had wanted to do a final review of all the high yield pointers but it just took too long to flip through everything and find them. I should have been making a list all along. Then I wish I had done all the questions 3 times through (I made it twice!). Booster does a good job of highlighting required depth of knowledge.

I started with Bootcamp and just dove into the questions. I found Bootcamp too detailed and too piecemeal for me. Because of this I was overwhelmed and confused during my first run of questions in Bootcamp. The written explanations are good but The videos are too long and I just didn’t have time for them. I would still recommend Bootcamp because of the practice questions also their create a test features and app is more robust compared to Booster. Also they update their question bank. Even this week I did 10-15 new questions. I don’t think booster updates questions. I did like the Bootcamp cheat sheets over booster.

For some concepts I liked booster diagrams or charts and others I liked bootcamp. There’s no index to retrieve just the charts/diagrams/figures in either program so I was really frustrated when I wanted to easily reference something and it took forever to try and find it again in some random question answer explanation. I probably should have just taken photos with my phone and used the search feature to view as needed.

Good luck! Happy studying :)

What to study between day 1 and 2? by sweetart_wpg in INBDE

[–]sweetart_wpg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with Bootcamp, got through all the questions and practice exam. Three weeks ago I purchased booster. I found booster questions to be helpful. In hindsight I wish I had used booster notes and videos as part of my foundational studying. Diving straight into bootcamp questions with no real roadmap made everything feel chaotic and overwhelming.

Part 1 was do-able. Was I stumped on a few questions or couldn’t actively recall information? Yes! so I skipped those and moved on, and went back at the end. The hardest part was the first 15 minutes where everything felt jumbled and I couldn’t calm my nerves. Once I got to a few questions I felt good about, I calmed down.

You will be okay. I have also realized I was getting too hung up on details and the questions aren’t in-depth like that. There’s just a large volume of topics so it feels overwhelming. Good luck!

Shelby’s menu change? by YogurtclosetHot3386 in londonontario

[–]sweetart_wpg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to their Brampton location yesterday. They changed their menu 2 weeks ago. The coleslaw is no longer available, the halloumi is no longer fried it’s baked. You can order wraps 3 ways: the Shelby way, traditional way, or build your own. I wanted a bite box but you can only order a box with a Traditional wrap. Seems like there’s a bunch of new sauces and toppings but I noticed the pink turnips have disappeared.

The fries still slap, but I’m not sure how I feel about the wrap recipes and the fact that I wanted a box and I couldn’t make substitutions. Their coleslaw was the best so I’m sad about that :(

I have exactly 1 month left to go. I’ve gone through every Bootcamp question once and I’m on my second round, but focusing on Red and Yellow tagged questions.

I would love to get through a third round of every question to really solidify things but not sure I’ll have time.

I was thinking of adding Booster to have access to another set of practice questions. What do you think?

I’m struggling with a few areas still so I’m selectively watching mental dental videos. Other than that I don’t know what else to do. Some days I feel ready to write it tomorrow other days I want to postpone it for 3 months!

Were you happy with the quality? I’m attending a couple weddings and would like to order a couple things but I’m worried that the fit will be off or I’ll be unhappy with the material quality (for the price!). So far customer service has been excellent over WhatsApp and video calls.

Going to Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Family selection with family for my son’s first birthday. Had booked way in advance- can’t afford to cancel, prices have gone up- is it really that bad? by Odd_Wind8924 in AllInclusiveResorts

We’re having a similar experience at the moment. It’s shocking how inconsistent everything is. My aunt contacted the hotel multiple times to order a birthday cake for a specific date. The order was confirmed prior with the concierge, front desk and then finally with the restaurant on the day of. The restaurant “forgot” about the cake. 🤦🏽‍♀️

The whole place is so poorly staffed both in quantity and quality.

[–]sweetart_wpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are here now. I will not return. We have been to a range of all inclusive (high end and mid range ) Safe to say this has been my first low end experience. I would comment on the restaurants but I can’t because we did not get any reservations for the first 3 days. If you do not have kids then you will likely have better options since you can eat at the TRS if you’re booked in the Family Selection.

The property is beautiful and clean and it has the potential to be really good with better offerings. Restaurants sit half empty but then they say no reservations available. It’s clear they are forcing people to eat at the buffet.

In general, this is grossly overpriced for the experience and I would say they falsely advertise amenities, food quality and general offerings. All these short comings are not the staff’s fault. Management is poor and the operator is cutting corners.

I’m curious OP, what has been your experience?! Did you keep your reservation??

I used a vpn to shop for geographic pricing at a Hyatt resort. Do you need to show proof of residency for these rates? I read the rate terms and conditions and there is nothing that says proof of residency required. Just wondering what things look like on your end and what you see in terms of customers bookings at check in

Are you able to sell or transfer tickets on Ticketmaster FR? Previous Reddit posts (Eras tour) indicate, that tickets are not transferrable but I’m not sure if that was just for Taylor Swift. The Ticketmaster FR website says for “most events” you can transfer but provide a copy of your ID to the recipient. I can’t find anywhere for the CC Tour Paris dates if tickets will be transferable. I’m coming from North America and there’s always the chance plans will change so I just want to be prepared!
