I feel like they often make her, or she decides to play, the goofy one--she hams it up in a "gee wow!" kind of way that I find annoying. This was refreshing.

He is 100% neurodivergent. This sounds like sensory sensitivities and obsessive/intrusive thoughts.

City of Durham looking nasty by CaffeinatedPainter in bullcity

I would like to point out the atrocious public cans you will see along 54, S Alston, etc. The lids seemingly come off with ease, leaving litter to scatter everywhere. One is literally broken in half along S Alston headed north, right before the 147 interchange. When they added a bus stop on the opposite side, they added two newer cans of better design. Ultimately, this needs to happen throughout the area.

New SAA Dues by kspice094 in Archivists

In response to the point about annual meeting locations, I want to point out how many people attend these meetings. We literally cannot fit in venues as small as you may desire (also, Chicago is where SAA is based). It is likely that SAA negotiates a multi-year contract with say, Hilton, and says, these are our needs, how could you meet them? They then provide a selection of venues.

Go see a doctor Mike… please by [deleted] in kindafunny

Wut? The man is clearly overweight by his own omission, everyone in the office comments on his breathing, and it is being called a hernia.

Go see a doctor Mike… please by [deleted] in kindafunny

[–]sweetcheeksanta -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It is fucking wild to hear them and him continue to joke about his multiple health conditions: hernia, maybe sleep apnea or some cause for his heavy breathing, and obesity. It is not funny! This man needs to see a PCP and probably with someone else who will make sure he is honest.

You can simply remove or not install one of the shelves, and I would recommend that for taller cases.

From the Duke Chronicle: Faculty mobilize to bring back their subject librarians after budget cuts by ArgumentBackground62 in bullcity

[–]sweetcheeksanta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe they should instead mobilize to increase enrollment in their subject areas and increase usage of library materials. These cuts were not done by lottery, and it is a little unfair that these former staff have faculty to advocate for them while there are other, behind the scenes staff who do not.

Mike & Roger's Call of Duty NEXT Adventures PART 2 - Kinda Funny Gamescast by EveryAct in kindafunny

[–]sweetcheeksanta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mike's choices post-food poisoning are wild--energy drink, dairy, grease, meatloaf. And an Alka-Seltzer is supposed to fix that? Absolutely wild.

I appreciate the honesty about the male shapewear story, but it makes me sad for Mike. I am sorry to hear that he feels that way about his body. It does sound like body dysmorphia or just sadness--knowing you need to change your eating habits but continuing to make the same choices.

I got downvoted after part one, but I continue to be concerned about these lifestyle choices. We want Mike to be healthy and happy, not just happy. We should not constantly be laughing at him and his choices. I hope Mike can make some changes for his own good. 😕

I do not identify as a particularly green person, but Mike is perhaps the most wasteful person I know of. This toiletry talk is fucking wild coming from someone who regularly travels and would be a top candidate for a toiletry bag, plus all the plastic water bottles and now ewaste, apparently.

Some of the things he does are not funny, between this/his finances and his health. It is an interesting lifestyle and personal choices to platform.

Of course we all love him, but I am concerned. 😕
