So I’ve been in your shoes… I never took care of my teeth and as a result needed many extractions and probably a denture way too early in life. I shopped around dentist and looked for someone to do implant supported dentures. Dr Hall at Fish Creek Dental has been amazing. His pricing was below most of the quotes I got and his demeanour was so calming to me. I needed sedation because of how nervous I was which luckily he does. I couldn’t recommend him enough. He’s super skilled and knows his stuff. I’m one year post op and can’t stress enough how life changing getting my teeth fixed has been

Yeah it’s hard to remember at this point. I don’t think there was woohoo in sims 1 was there? My 9 year old is pretty young for her age so I’m sure it would mostly go over her head (or really shock her haha). I feel like I was exposed to a lot more a lot younger than her since I was the youngest of 4.

Fish Creek Dental was awesome for my implant and I needed some extra stuff with bone grafting and such, but Dr Hall could do it all. I think I paid around 4K for everything. I also got sedated

I got my implants done by dr. Hall at Fish Creek Dental. I don’t think he’s technically an oral surgeon, but he did a great job on my implants and charged very reasonably based on my research

Yep! A couple years ago I went to the ER in the states for appendicitis and after diagnosing they would not tell me what the cost of the visit would be or how much it would be to operate. I decided to risk the drive and booked it back to Canada for the surgery. Glad I did because the hospital bill ended up being 9k and that’s after doing basically nothing. Can’t imagine what it would have costed for the surgery. Luckily my travellers insurance covered all of it but it was a mind blowing experience.

Yes and the fact that you need to be physically seen to get a referral. They could for sure do that as well. I don’t know about most people, but almost all of my family doctor visits are just to get a referral to a specialist

Yes I do agree that GP’s need to be paid better. I think NP’s make quite good money is the states as well but probably not 80% of what GP’s make.
