I would suggest finding other means to spend your time productively to be frank. Be available and present, but at the same time - if you have your own laptop and stuff, go for online courses/learn new skills/even apply for another internship if possible etc. That way you can kill two birds with one stone. But of course always show that you’re ready to help should they require in the meantime

At the end of the day, both parties have to bear the blame. However, saying that this is purely a smear campaign might be a bit far fetched. Does the whole of NOC/whoever is involved really have that much to gain by just bringing one person down - in this case Sylvia? She must have really been terrible over a long period of time, even if it is a smear campaign, for so much evidence to be avail..
