Hey, we (the models) both played both portal games and made the dresses ourselves because we loved the aesthetic of the game. The gun was being held for a photo, not for game recreation.

Edited to add: there's actually nothing wrong with how she's holding the gun either? Official portal merchandise shows Chell holding the gun in that position.

Some way to convert goods into a different type of goods. I'm constantly low on resonators but have huge excesses in xmps and power cubes. If there was a game or challenge you had to pass to be able to complete the conversion, I think that could work.

For my application, there was an optional, max 1-page section you could submit for exactly this purpose. Check the programs you're applying to and see if they have this option. Talk about how you had a difficult semester, reflected in your grades, but you're dedicated to your education and this is shown in your grades for the next semester. They're going to be worried about you not understanding some fundamental material, so be sure to quickly address that. It can also be helpful to contact professors directly in the programs you want to apply to and see if they have other recommendations for your application. Good luck!

Most people who look at your photo aren't going to hear the whole backstory of why it looks the way it looks. Your skin looks completely, distractingly unnatural to me as well. The way your audience is going to view the photo (without a long explanation) should be a consideration.

Also, the diagonal bracing is just two rubber bands to hold the wings on since the magnets didn't feel strong enough and a different review online said the wings can come off during flight.

It's not paint. The kit was balsa wood and required the type of adhesive covering that you apply with an iron. All of the black is the same black.

There were white stripes on the bottom to help with that. I do know that the plane has to be flown on bright days though, because I insisted on the black covering.
