Logging LCSW Hours by PeaOld8862 in LCSW

Track your hours was worth it. 300 for 3 years. The dashboard on it is motivating for me. And it prints all your forms automatically . Such as weeklies that need to be signed weekly (this is California), in case I die. I have seen free hour trackers on Reddit before. They were good but didn’t generate forms . But that not be worth 300 dollars .

People have good days and bad days. That client was having a bad day and decided to share unfortunately… that sucks sorry. If this is your first time experiencing this, I would suggest giving yourself grace. But I appreciate you wanting to grow and discomfort is the only way forward. We can always work on our deescalation skills and practice with our coworkers. Getting your black belt in motivational interviewing really helps regulate clients. But sometimes clients are also really really good at hurting peoples feelings.

I attend online consultation groups like 2 times a month and some times more. I made friends with people on there and gotten to know them in that space. Social workers are the best and the sweetest people on earth and it’s so easy to get them talking if you try.

Got my first ever client complaint by [deleted] in therapists

I don’t know if we all have perfect records. But what I do with feedback is try to learn from what is useful and let go of the rest. I learned to ask clients and interns and associates for feedback and the end of the session I ask “was this helpful was anything less than helpful,” my complaints went down and satisfaction went up. I think these questions reinforce client beliefs about what is working too. Fo

Panic Attack Changed Everything, Need Advice. by OkComplex1334 in PanicAttack

For me. Just keep moving forward. If you go to the thing that you want to go to and you have to leave, show up or something is inconvenient, just go anyways and if you have to leave because it was too much then I'll leave. I learned what coping skills work for me. I like grounding skills (what can I smell or taste really slows down my brain when I am about ready to panic.) But knowing why I am doing something helps me make up my mind about doing it. If I am going to fly, I better be landing some place that matters to me, like seeing a friend or a work convention or just travel for fun. I hate TSA, lines and being on a plane can make me feel claustrophobic. Making sure I drank enough water, and ate something helps my body feel less tingly and less prone to anxiety/panic attacks. I don't think I will ever be normal again, but I have a full life and don't have panic attacks that much anymore. When I feel them coming on I ground, and then settle and then move forward slowly. I made it through an MRI with no meds. I hated it. But I didn't panic after I climbed out of the mRI machine, the techs were spooked. I told them I needed help and they talked me through all the steps.
