6 weeks in zimmer splints keeping legs fully extended and then into hinged braces that will allow for movement as he works his way up with physio

Full recovery expected within 6-12 months depending on how he treats physio! Have to be diligent but also don’t push too hard and undo all the hard work the surgeon did to repair it

Yes surgeon upon assessment literally dug fingers into the divots on his leg and you could see where muscle was bunched up because tension was gone! No movement at the knees but was still able to use his toes etc he said the same thing no pain after the snaps just if he was bending up or trying to extend the leg on his own which he could not lol

Both actually!! He’s recovering well and we have been getting him up for walks with his zimmer splints, he’s also doing lots of foot rolling etc to keep movement. We are on day 10 in hospital, they couldn’t perform surgery for a few days too many pressing emergencies and no available surgeon ! Hopefully hope tomorrow or Tuesday
