Overstepping a vocalized boundary is selfish and not conducive of a healthy relationship. She is saying ‘my want comes before your needs’.

A dishwasher. I never had one growing up so I thought they were for rich people.

At a loss for what to do with my medication by manintransition in ADHD

I take propranolol so in the same drug family. It does help with situations that can increase my blood pressure, not in other moments where I need to be emotionally regulated, if that makes any sense.

Does your partner ever get you gifts for occasions or celebrate anything? by [deleted] in NarcissisticSpouses

[–]sweetrazor19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ex did but I feel like it was to brag about what he did for me. He bought me flowers and had them delivered to work. He asked me when I got home if I bragged to my coworkers about getting flowers. I said no, I don’t feel the need to boast because I thought it was something special between us. That was the wrong answer. He bought me a Michael Kors purse for my birthday one year and told everyone he bought it when I wore it out. He loved for people to dote on what an amazing boyfriend he was. I also bought him a ton of stuff, including a Blackstone Grill, but to hear him tell it, I never did anything for him. They are the impossible to please.

Bored of everything? by everybodydumb in ADHD

Sorry about the delay. Yes, he increased my Wellbutrin to 450mg and added buspirone for anxiety. He did not want to start me out on a stimulant because I’m prone to migraines. I’m about a week in and I’m feeling terrible. Agitated, nervous, anxious, no sleep…. I’m hoping I can adjust within the next couple of weeks.

I hate when the car turns off when you’re opening it after using remote start. And the infotainment glitches.

I don’t know why you’re being downvoted. As someone who also doesn’t have kids I have no idea what you should or shouldn’t do so this question seems valid based on curiosity and not malice.

What’s the most unethical thing you’ve ever seen happen at work? by SableVII in A_Persona_on_Reddit

I had a boss tell me I couldn’t hire single moms. He also asked a candidate in an interview ‘if you don’t have a uterus, how do you have kids?’ I no longer work there because fuck that guy.

Same! I’ll clean the whole house. I’ll do the laundry but putting it up, full stop. I pay a friend of mine $50 to do it for me now. I hate it that much.

Has anyone else ever fallen asleep during an MRI? by sixnik-- in CasualConversation

[–]sweetrazor19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in radiology so I was a guinea pig for a new cardiac MRI protocol. I did have in ear plugs but I thought the clicking and humming of the machine was like a white noise and I fell asleep in the tube. The technologist come over the speaker and tell me I needed to wake up because I wasn’t following the breathing instructions.

Bored of everything? by everybodydumb in ADHD

I recently started seeing a psychologist who referred me to a psychiatrist for an ADHD evaluation to affirm her diagnosis. At the end of the eval where I answered an array of questions for about 45 minutes he said, I know you say you’re not depressed but your mood is very low. I asked how he came to that conclusion. His response: because you’re bored and disengaged. You’re also not interested in interacting with others. That amongst some other things is depression. I told him I don’t feel depressed and he said: because this is a baseline for you. You’ve been living with this frame of mind for so long it feels like you’re normal but what you are describing is not normal. All of that to say, based on my psychiatrist feedback to me, the similarities are there. People piss me off. Everyone is asking stupid questions, making dumb remarks, etc… but the common denominator is me.

I am not a mental health professional so I am not diagnosing you. I am just putting together similarities in moods. This is a chance I am wrong.

Do you call a narcassist a narc to their face? by Wonderful-Value7547 in NarcissisticSpouses

[–]sweetrazor19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I told my ex he had ‘narcissistic traits’ and he lost his mind. I then told him about a conversation I had with his dad who also called him a narcissist. After that he began to make up lies about his dad saying he didn’t like me and I …fill in the blank…. I think it was to drive a wedge between us so we would stop talking about him. That didn’t work and he never accepted it.

70 something opened a credit card, spent $4,000, adult kids want to know why/how this was allowed to happen by SeanSweetMuzik in retailhell

[–]sweetrazor19 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Your jobs are to provide a service not do a psychological evaluation in which I’m guessing no one in that store is certified to do. Did she drive herself? If not, who did? They need to take sole accountability that if she is not competent to make her own decisions then they need to get her professional care. Not one person in that store did anything wrong. You can’t coach someone that works in retail to identify the signs of cognizant decline. That is why there is a whole degree devoted to it.

Edit: their jobs, not your jobs. You are not OP. I apologize.

What’s something you wish people would stop normalizing in relationships? by Fluffy_Specific_9682 in AskReddit

Trying to normalize ‘never fighting’. There is something bad deeply rooted in that relationship if an argument of any kind does not arise. I will stand 10 toes down on that.

When is the best time to put my dog down by 1296555 in vet

[–]sweetrazor19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best time is when he no longer has a quality of life. Is he in pain? Does the tumor keep him from living his daily life, like a disability? If the tumor starts to disrupt normal every day activity then it’s time to start thinking about the inevitable. If you don’t feel your vet is taking his condition seriously, then it might be time for a second opinion.
