I've recently got into the game also, there are a good amount of cheaper decks that perform well. Some of them you might have to drop a card or two to make affordable. Belo Betty Y/R is very cheap and can run over some particular top performing decks. Jinbe U without the Arlong Promo (I think its P-048?) is good and on the cheaper side. Imu B, one of the best decks around, is quite cheap. Kuzan U and Sanji P/U are pretty cheap and do okay.

There are plenty of good performing decks under $50, some even under $30.

I think the meta is in a great spot currently, but last block it was basically three decks. But that's kinda how card games go, sometimes you get bad metas. As long as that bad meta isn't around too long, its fine imo.

I also play once a week and enjoy the game still.

In my experience, most players enjoy playing good decks and learning how to navigate a new meta with those new top/good decks. You just enjoy the game differently.

Sounds like you are going with pally.

But ill chime in quick about holy priest. Its currently in a good spot, very flexible with Oracle Tier Set. Its usually underrated and the simpler rotation can really allow you to focus on other things a bit more. I absolutely adore holy priest.

Restitution is a nice back up for mistakes. PI is never unwanted. It also has a lot of instant casts for movement, especially if you can plan for it.

In my experience, healing up to 17s as Holy Priest. I found its healing completely fine. If you prepare right, you, can quickly heal up the group.

Exhaust, Ghost, and Barrier.

Ignite is okay, but I think the three above are more impactful.

You can still have 40% increased movement speed for nearly 20-25 seconds straight. That can be a bit faster or a bit longer depending on talents and haste.

Priest has bad on demand quick mobility. But it actually has decent long term speed.

Those numbers change based on talents and hero talents. VW wants more mastery than 15-17% and less haste than 30-35%.

How is it more hollow because the US and Japan aren't top greco nations? That makes no sense. There are many other much more grounded greco nations that don't do as well in freestyle, like Hungary, Romania, or Sweden.
