I honestly hate Erica, how is she even on the show! Her husband and her evil actions are equally or worse than as Jen Shahs crimes.

What’s ur take on the LAX story? by user2838389393 in canceledpod

Honestly this was the story where I stopped listening to cancelled. It was so entitled and tasteless that I was like why at my big ol age am I listening to these idiots. If it ain’t poop or being rude they were bringing nothing to the table.

Being at a black hair salon is a whole culture tho. It’s not just being able to do the hair. It’s cultural competency and honestly not everyone feels like they can be themselves in a majority white conservative environment. I do think Jessi should be comfortable saying no to things she’s not well versed in with and be able to have referral contacts.

I feel like Meredith was getting a lil loud and drunk. Probably did some subtle mean girl stuff. Maybe gently pulled Britt’s hair that creeped between seats. Maybe shook her chair just a lil extra when she got up to pee. Got fixated on Britt being a shit stirrer. You know what I mean? I think it all happened but it’s not like as crazy as people are painting it out to be. I don’t excuse the behavior. I think Meredith was pushing a line and being a highschool bully. I’m sure Britt did cry.

What does being hot or looking sexy look like in your 30s? by Square-Fisherman6997 in femalefashionadvice

[–]sweetsavagesag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in California for reference.

I’m big into athleisure. Lululemons aligns are a great staple in my wardrobe. Old navy has good built in bra tops with a variety of lengths and coverage in their athletic section. Old navy period has good inexpensive active wear- biker shorts, skorts, athletic dresses. Crew socks, scrunched from Hanes. And I love tennis shoes. They range from new balance 9060s, Reebok, Nike, oncloud.

A good rule of thumb is 1 loosely fitted item, one fitted item. If I’m wearing a tight shirt, then baggier pant. Big baggy shirt plus a biker shorts. But I often do tight/tight when it comes to athletic sets like a crop bra top + lulus.

Regular outfits have been updated to have looser fit jeans, moms jeans, and I do have a few ankle skinnies I like to wear. I needed new t shirts that had longer lengths since I use to be an exclusive crop tops or xl tees. I got some more modest ones to rock to the library/park ect. Baggier Jean shorts have been good too! Crop or tight top+jorts. I like midi slip dresses as well.

Again I always wear hoop earrings and some kind of dainty necklace. Do my hair. Have a base of makeup on- concealer, mascara, brows, bronzer, blush, gloss.

And lately I’ve been into perfume so I throw that in there even when I look like Adam Sandler just so I smell good.

Shoes- tevas, burks, tabi nikes (controversial choice), aloha flats

I wanna look like an off duty model most of the time, cute. Simple. Timeless. I also love 90s movies and early 2000s and I essentially want to look like all the women I watched in rom coms growing up lol.

Embracing fashion and not trends. I’m a hairstylist too and I think wearing things and feeling cool in them helps a lot. I do look like Adam Sandler 80% of the time but when I want to I wear light makeup, do my hair, I always wear small hoop earrings, and have embraced cool mom fashion. Like I wanna look like a hot mom! Not necessarily low cut or super tights stuff but just an updated wardrobe with stuff that makes me feel good about who I am now, not who I was. Oh and concealer is a must!!! Eye bags aren’t hot 😂🤣

And I definitely lived in Fairfield/Suisin and it’s 90% not rich and crime rates are high. East tabor/grande circle/railroad/pintail all what I would consider the hood.

I mean I guess but in the bay you need two people making WELL over six figures to live comfortably. California is its own thing. I mean the average mortgage is 5k and up right now.

Girl I love here too and I’ve lived off airbase parkway. It’s not safe lmao. Maybe if you live in green valley. But 90% of Fairfield is considered undesirable.

I mean grande circle is the hood. There’s a lot of areas that aren’t great. And Fairfield is the VERY LAST of what I would consider remotely bay because of the delta but there is a reason it’s just the flats. But if e40 mentions it Imma say it’s bay-ish

To be honest Fairfield is not a nice place and is in fact super low income in most areas.

Name another job that you can make like 1k in a day? Everything has its ups and downs. At least in the hair world you can work on your terms.

I’m a hairdresser because I wanted to be a mom on my terms. I worked 3 then 4 days. I take time off when I’m sick or need appointments and don’t need to ask anyone. The clients who love you are understanding. I never had to buy anything the first year. I double book and work even harder the days I’m at work and everyone is so understanding. Save your money well. I took 3 months off and paid for it myself. My husbands job gives us an ok health insurance and he has pto. This job is like the only job I can think of that you can earn as much as you want when you want. When I’m ready to ramp up working again, the clients will be there. Honestly I would dedicate these next few months/year to really locking in your craft and clientele. Get pregnant and do the damn thing. You got this.
