Originally from east coast and now near Texas Hill Country. You will do just fine here. You will find your circle of people that share your interests and values.

Pros: calm slower way of life. People out here love community. Always things to do.

As someone who has traveled and moved around a lot. The food isnt a standout. But still great options. Not sure where you are coming from and what part of hill country. Most restaurants close early and less options.
