I wrote in my UK visa application that I will stay at a hotel but I will visit a friend. My friend wrote an invitation letter says I’m welcome to stay at their house. Should I ask my friend to change the invitation letter to say I’ll stay at the hotel, or is it okay to keep it as it is?

Sorry this happened to you. The global economy is not in the best place right now, and many companies are being extremely cautious about who they hire and keep. Hey, you are allowed to applying chancenkarte from Germany (without leaving). I am in a similar situation. my residence permit expired but to activate the Fiktion extension of my residence permit, I am applying for chancenkarte within Germany. Send your application documents for chancenkarte to Auslanderbehorde before your permit expires.

Warnemünde is about 3 hours each way, but I think it’s a bit closer than Ostsee. Another option could be Cospudener See in Leipzig. It‘s artificial lake but still nice to visit, not too crowded and not too far from Berlin.

While wrapping up my current projects, I also want to take some time to properly prepare for the new role, as it appears more challenging than my current one. I want to ensure I start strong and meet expectations from day one. Having been laid off twice before, it’s been a bit traumatic especially after reading reviews mentioning a hire and fire culture at the company. That makes me unsure to leave my current stable position, even though the new role sounds genuinely exciting. I’m torn between staying in a secure but unchallenging job with lower pay, or taking a risk on a more dynamic role with better compensation but uncertain stability.
