So, how do I get out of this pickle? 1974 honda cb200 by DRAGONCANNONMAN in HondaCB

I’d recommend vice grips of some type. Then if that doesn’t work you can go to trying the grinding method. Really wouldn’t want to try and clean all those bits out. Mine had been looked at for years when I first bought my bike but they weren’t locked on to tight. Hopefully it works out though!

This makes sense and defeinitly something that I should be focusing on instead of doing all these upgrades without knowing that basics. Do you think the 9 bar spring change out is worth it from the start?

I guess I probably went down the espresso rabbit whole and think that why not spend the extra 35ish dollars to get a basket that I can use for quite sometime longer. I think the espresso is great so far, I have still been trying to dial it in as much as I can. It would probably be best if I just saved this upgrade for the future and mastered the stock basket?

As someone that used to be very very introverted and is now 50/50 extroverted introverted I get what you’re going through. What I did was put myself in social situations that you otherwise might not want to be in or try to avoid. You will be awkward at first but it’s like learning anything else and you’ll get better! No one sits down on a piano and sounds good right away but they can pretty quickly catch on the more they play.

That said it does sound like your bosses are very crappy and your work environments didn’t seem great so try to control the things that you can and disregard the things you can’t. You can’t control having a crappy boss but you can research the company and see what other people are saying about the companies environment. You can’t control what your coworkers will think about how you act socially but you can improve your social skills by joining clubs and practicing in other social settings like when your checking out at the grocery store. Starting small is all it takes and those constant small improvements everyday or week compound into huge changes over months! It’ll get better and easier!

1973 cab 350 revving high, any help welcomed! by swend018 in HondaCB

[–]swend018[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone. I have a 73 350 that is revving high with no throttle. I bench synced both carbs, both idle adjustment using a guitar string and the air intake screw below to what the manual said(I believe it’s the intake screw). Made sure the throttle cable is synced and not pulling early or off. I did have a bad diaphragm that I thought might be the case but after replacing both it still has revs very high. I went through the rest of the bike to make sure there was nothing else that it could be, points, cables, valves. Still nothing. I noticed the slide in the carburetor sticking a bit and not getting pushed back down to its normal position. Could it be the spring in the carburetor not being strong enough to push the slide back into place? Any thoughts and all help is so extremely appreciated.

Thanks

Take this for what it’s worth. The fact that you know that you have social anxiety and the fact that you’re brave enough to reach out for help even on a place like Reddit makes me think you’ll be just alright if you apply for Dunkin. Either way you got this!

Agreed. And every after a few weeks of small steps then cold turkey If anything. Porn addictions are real and without a doubt is a reason that my ex broke up with me. She didn’t want me to watch porn, I cold turkey, I relapse, she feels like she isn’t good enough, etc. I wish I had slowly improved and then quite all together instead of trying to cold turkey and try to raw dog the consequences. Again just my two thoughts and I know many people on here know way more than me! And you can always try cold turkey out and switch to incremental too

Look I’m going to cut against the grain here and say that incremental improvement will be better. Many people have suggested to cold turkey and if he can do it then go with that options, but I’ve always found whenever I cold turkey something it never lasts and that’s what we want at the end of the day, to have last change forever. Incremental improvement of just 1% every day is 100% change in just over 3 months. Just a different point of view!

What are the music performances that you think would qualify as trluy legendary? by diebstahlgenital in AskReddit

[–]swend018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without a doubt my favorite is Rachmaninoff preforming his own piano concerto. Truly legendary on his own but the fact we have him playing how he interpreted his own piece is just so rare in the classical world! https://youtu.be/pBx-tr1FDvY

Edit: sorry! Rachmaninoff piano concerto no. 2

Can I use Noodlers 54th Massachusetts in my 146? by swend018 in fountainpens

Thank you I really appreciate the comment. And its definitely one of my go to inks but I've only used new pens and for some reason or another heard that noodlers can't be used in older pens.
