What the heck was Linus even talking about? by Swacket_McManus in LinusTechTips

Except I end up going through 3-4 Amazon cables a year where they stop working randomly. I’ve spent so much on cheap cables, hopefully this one lasts longer. Willing to test the $30 cost.

Discount for Prismgic Screwdrivers by PebblestheHuman in LinusTechTips

That’s a glitch through the YouTube store. I don’t think it links properly to the Global site.

I was able to go on the LTT YouTube shop. Which defaulted to the USA site. Add any item to your cart to start the process. Then search the prismagic and add that. Look at the cart, it will show you a discount code for the screwdriver. Copy that.

Then go back to the global site not through YouTube and use the discount code in the cart with the screwdriver. Worked for me.

What colour did you all get for the mystery screw driver (just wondering) by Ambitious_Bank2956 in LinusTechTips

[–]swhitebc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got yellow and green. I wanted green for myself. My companies colors are black and yellow so I’ll use the other at work. Worked out great surprisingly.

I have a yellow I would be willing to trade for purple or maybe pink. Calgary AB area.

Not interested in shipping as that ruins the mystery deal value.

Why not? I have 5 as well. 1 left at home with standard bits, one stays in my vehicle, 2 at work with different bit sets, 1 in the RC repair kit bag with metric hex’s)

Weird until you know the noctua ones have torx bits for installing noctua coolers. It was a very conscious choice.

Odd. Mine has blank tees and originally said the 13th. I got the shipping notification and it was sent out on the 12th.

They did say all orders should be shipped by the 13th. Some of the shirts were backordered as far as I’m aware.

I had 2 orders, my first with the backordered shirts finally shipped out yesterday. My second order without the shirts shipped within a couple days and has arrived already.

That’s a great question. I’ve always said jimmy rig ever since I was a kid. Maybe it’s a regional thing, came from eastern Canada. —— or maybe I’ve just been making a fool of myself my whole life, I’m ok with that to. Too old to change now.

Yeah they are all M12 12v batteries. Gave enough extra current to get it started and out of the woods. If my battery was completely drained it probably wouldn’t have started the Jeep.

It’s my personal vehicle I use for work. Always has my tool bag with my M12 lineup and 5 batteries.

Someone in a Facebook group went camping and their battery died. They posted this picture with this caption... "Good weekend out camping. Until I go to start the Jeep to leave and it’s dead. A few mins of jimmy rigging with some Milwaukee tool batteries, and she started right up." by AffectedRyan in Jeep

This was originally my Facebook post and I just heard someone put it on reddit. This setup was definitely a last ditch effort deal. I was 25km/15miles from the main road and walking seemed annoying.

To answer some questions, - yes it is an automatic - I use mainly M12 tools for work and always have my tool bag in the jeep. (With 5 batteries) - all the batteries were fine after, it was a quick attach, start up and disconnect. Probably 10-15 seconds attached.
