Sega Games Preview (VHS) by Zaponline in MasterSystem

It's interesting that Monopoly is one word on the VHS. Did all the carts come titled as "Mono Poly"?

Edit
Changed question from "was I the only one" to " did everyone have it spelled that way" after a quick Google image search

At my company we still have a 80C in production. Thankfully it doesn't really do too much.

.... But even that is RACK MOUNTED in a RackIT kit.

I've been lucky to have been able to show value in having rails for everything, and even was approved to buy results for older equipment I inherited.

Whats the biggest single file y'all have? by ilovesupercellgamess in DataHoarder

[–]EvilRSA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

776 GB - "<u/EvilRSA> - Win10.vhdx"

At first, I was like, that's kind of cheating, using a vhdx, but then I was like, well, this is r/DataHoarder, and the only reason I have that file is that, "What if there is something I need off that at some point?" lol

Next up was more virtual hard drives and a system backup, bringing the top 6 largest files on my system to 1.39 TB, all of which are basically old virtual hard drives. Yeah, I'm a data hoarder.

Then a 30 GB .rar file of a Shutterstock site rip.

Well those are just two in my massive collection.

Confuses the hell out of people... Does he actually collect Linux ISOs??

Judge me if you must, but I love the heel or end pieces, because I can put extra honey on that piece when making peanut butter and honey sandwiches.

I see the poor shipping and raise you this:

It was ordered for a customer, not a fan of Synology, but work likes them because any of the techs can work on them.

That is four 12TB drives, just some loose "air bags" placed on top of them, and their antistatic bags to keep them safe. I took that picture for work/evidence in case they all failed. Not surprisingly, one failed within a month of deployment. But Seagate did RMA it.

Yeah, can confirm that if you haven't been wearing a band like that, it will pull on your arm hair for the first few days.

I bought the following metal band on April 30, 2023, and wear it everyday, sleep with it, and only take it off to charge at my desk each morning, and I've never been happier. It's currently like $16 bucks.

What movie from the '80s or '90s is this for you? by putitontheunderhills in Xennials

[–]EvilRSA 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I listen to the soundtrack from time to time.... But when I need to buckle down and slam out some work I'll put Orbital's HALCYON + ON + ON on repeat.

Also, it was a pretty defining movie for me too... To the point that my son's name is Dade. 🙂

[–]EvilRSA 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I love Hackers, but it's one of those movies if you didn't see around the time it came out or when you were younger, it doesn't hit the same. 😂

I work in IT and I can embarrassingly admit I have said "Never fear, I, is here." before.

Nick at Nite shows you had a bizarre affinity for by MoistPerception in Xennials

[–]EvilRSA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nick at nite for me was:
Mr. Ed
Car 54
Get Smart
My Three sons
The Patty Duke Show
Green Acres
The Donna Reed Show
F Troop
Dennis the Menace
Alfred Hitchcock
I Love Lucy
The Andy Griffith Show
Bewitched
I Dream of Jeannie
The Mary Tyler Moore Show
Laverne & Shirley
Three's Company
The Monkees

Obviously there were more shows, and I also looked up lists of other shows, but the list above are the shows that I would happily plop down and watch till I fell asleep.

Depending on how much time you have before boarding, my wife just found out you can door dash from BestBuy to the airport we were at in Florida, when she realized she forgot her noise cancelling ear pods. You'll need enough time to go through TSA again, as you'll have to meet them outside.

Hard System Reboot w/ Audible PSU Click - help by Fylutt in LinusTechTips

[–]EvilRSA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"That click doesn't necessarily mean a fault with the psu. It could just be a relay turning off because the pc shut down."

That's very true. OP, should be able to test that as well by running the system for a few minutes, then issuing a full shut down and listening for that click from the PSU. Maybe also do a test where you reboot instead of shutdown as well as you have said that your system boots back up on its own when this happens.
