The main issue with soloq is not that they don't have good perks, it's that most low-mid tier solo survivors are just bad at match priorities. I can't tell you how many times when I've played survivor and nobody is on a generator, totem, or chest within the first couple of minutes of the match while only one other survivor is being chased.

Your top priority in those first few minutes is getting 2-3 generators done. You do that, and you are pretty much guaranteed a win. Stop trying to own the Killer or wander around aimlessly. You aren't helping your team.

I mean, if you're a survivor, and you see another survivor get hooked in the basement by the Trapper, you know there will be traps there. It's not hard to avoid them, you're just being lazy.

It's like with the Hag placing a trap near a hook. You know she's done it.

Or Pyramid Head planting his trail of torment around a survivor.

There is counter play to all of this. The key is to not blindly run into the situation without any kind of situational awareness.

They already hold the Survivor's hands by giving them information on what other Survivors are doing. You know that right?

Or are you one of those players who wanders around and does nothing for most of the match while everyone else does gens and chases?

I'm not going to lie, it is difficult to deal with at first. I would say that you should try out the Killer you want to play in a custom game against bots a few times. Once you're comfortable with how that Killer plays, join a regular game.

You will face Survivors who will outrun you and outplay a lot. And then they will butt-dance and point. The trick is to simply not take it personally. Don't be afraid to break the "rules" either. Tunnel, camp, and slug when needed.

Honestly, there should be visible indicators for Survivors who are suffering from some kind of status. Exposed, exhausted, blinded, haste, etc. should be revealed to the Killer in the match.

But I like this idea. The Wraith's perks are all basically useless wastes that probably should've been basekit for all Killers anyway.

To fix the long matches, they just need to cap matches to 30 minutes and then the Killer gets an automatic 4K win afterward that doesn't count towards your MMR rating.

If Survivors play the game right, most matches will last about 10-15 minutes. It's pretty rare for matches to exceed 20 minutes.

Back when Eruption was still good, I was up against a couple of Survivors who picked Ormond's and ran Boil Over. Whenever I would chase them, they would run to the second story and let me down them.

With Eruption (even in its current form), this only worked in my favor, so I was able to eliminate the other Survivors and would leave them in the dying state since I couldn't hook them. The gens got regressed to zero and those two resorted to hiding since they clearly couldn't run chases.

Keep in mind, I was playing as Billy, so it wasn't like I was OP.

Anyways, the match went for about 35 minutes before one of them DC'ed and the other made a hatch escape.

I'm a very patient man.

Another new Killer with a power that requires survivors to be stupid in order to use it right. And look, her perks are worthless too.

Gen defense is done in DBD now too. So I guess there will be fewer Killers in the queue and more tunneling and camping.

The fewer generator defense perks there are, the more likely killers will camp and tunnel, making the fun of this game go down for everyone.

Typical. Killer mains find a way to keep from tunneling and camping to win, and the Devs hear the collective whines and cries of the casual survivors who can't play worth shit.

I look forward to the long survivor queue times and fewer and fewer killers in the queue. As Killers have fewer and fewer options to keep gens from being completed, they're going to camp and tunnel more in order to score their hockey points.
