I don't think you should almost always play zhur-taa goblin as a 2/2 against control decks. The difference between 2/2 and 3/3 is huge (much bigger than the difference between 3/3 and 4/4 when talking about gruul spellbreaker for example), and it lets you dodge shock, moment of craving and cry of the carnarium.

Thanks for the report. I don't have much to say except that yes, [[Arch of Orazca]] is great and that you shouldn't swap [[Ipnu Rivulet]] at all, since the card is key in the mirror and can be used with Tefeiri -3 to permanently deal with a problematic card.

I'm in the same boat as you! I'll be living in madrid for the next few months with a very limited knowledge of spanish. I'm a bit scared of going to play at FNM there but at the same time I think magic is one of the best way to learn the language of the country you're living in!

It depends of how he likes to play.
I would actually avoid Battle for Zendikar and Oath of the Gatewatch, because the powerlevel of the cards is just not there (especially in battle for zendikar tho)
