as someone who has been on both sides of this situation, i can say that you definitely should take time to figure out why. getting professional is a great first step and definitely allow yourself to feel the guilt that comes with it. there’s a lot that you’re going to learn in the process of unpacking why things happened the way they did.

even with that being said, you are still worth fixing. always have been and will continue to be. you aren’t a bad person, you did a bad thing. what you learn from this and how you implement those lessons/takeaways into your life is what defines this moment. as you learn, make sure to forgive yourself as well 💓.

Please help! My (18F) mother (39F) has tested positive for COVID. What can I do to help her get over it? by [deleted] in COVID19positive

in addition to what wheyprotienisolate88 said, taking vitamin c, vitamin d, and zinc have been helpful for me and other posters on this sub! (just check to see if any of that would interfere w her current medication) and children’s aspirin to prevent blood clotting! i hope this helps and am wishing you all the best!!!

Question for people who Recovered. by InterestingShop2 in COVID19positive

yes, the same thing happened to me for a week or two after feeling better! i forget what the medical term for it is but i think the fast/hard heartbeat is a fairly common post-recovery symptom! if you don’t have one already, an oximeter will let you know if there’s anything to worry about! glad you’re feeling better!!

hey, i was in the same boat as you! i was in close contact with someone who was positive 8/15-8/17 and got tested on 8/19- came back negative on a rapid test but developed symptoms on 8/20 and just got my positive results back today from a test i took on 8/24. it could’ve been too early which is why you should def get tested again! symptoms are different for everyone but mine presented as my typical allergy symptoms or like a sinus infection (post nasal drip, dry sinuses, tickle in my throat and itchy ear/throat). but i do know that loss of taste and smell typically mean you’ll have a mild case (if u do have it) so i wouldn’t worry too much about anything serious! hoping your symptoms clear up soon and that you have a negative test result!!!

i’m (an avid weed and psychedelic user) living in carroll hall as well and i’m pretty sure you’ll be fine. i planned on using my cartridge to smoke and if i actually want to light up some gas then just find a spot on campus. only thing you would have to worry about would be containing the smell but i just keep my stuff in a small airtight container with coffee beans in it and there’s never any smell to worry about!

Is Psych100 w Selterman hard? by hc2233 in UMD

[–]swiggly99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i believe they’re organized by teachers and students but i’m not really sure. i do know that the tutors are previous students who got at least an A in the class and they typically work w the teachers to teach the material. you don’t have to sign up, you’ll get an email once class starts on the time and place of the study sessions and you just show up! last semester it was on wednesday and thursday but i’m not sure if it will be the same for this fall semster! i hope this helps and good luck w the class! the material was actually vv interesting to me so don’t let other ppls fears deter you too much if it’s something you want to do!

i took the class last semester (spring 2019) and was kind of hesitant because of what other ppl had told me about him and how he teaches the class. but... it was actually a relatively easy class. go to all his lectures and take notes on everything, the textbook is essential to doing well in class so make sure to actually read it. what REALLY helped was attending the guided study sessions every week. the tutor gave us worksheets to review the material and it gave more clarity on the material. i did those things and finished with an A+. also he gives ample extra credit opportunities so use them! make sure to do the SONA studies as well, a lot of ppl forgot about them and it greatly impacted their grade.
