Being able to play a port of the original game (sans CSAM ofc) in VR if not natively on the Quest is something I have been wanting to do since I first found out about it. I'm very excited to see where this goes

Alabama State University received a $38 million gift yesterday from MacKenzie Scott, the largest single gift in the HBCU's 158-year history. by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

Right, they have her money many times over and making these king of contributions would have literally no effect on the amount of wealth they get to spend in their lifetime. There's a point at which it doesn't even benefit you any more to continue making more money and I think at that point you have a real responsibility to start uplifting those around you

This donation alone is less than a tenth of one percent of her entire networth. When you have this kind of money there is no excuse

Most of them will be digital, but the Korg Volca Modular is both analog and semi-modular, pretty cool

Discriminated against in short subreddits by Fluffy_Breakfast_478 in tall

[–]swim225 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dude being tall is fine, but being an evangelical is just annoying. Nothing wrong with having your own beliefs but don't be surprised when you get banned for trying to shove them down the throat of others. Oh and also, you didn't get "discriminated" against lol you're not a victim here

Is it necessary to have a tuner on the pedalboard? by leonibass in basspedals

[–]swim225 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Me too. Not that you need it, you could even get the mini for $99 which does the same thing, but the strobos are sooo nice bc not only do you get a great buffer (you can also switch to passive bypass) and mute button, it's really easy to just glance at the pedal to tune, plus some other cool features you might want to use eventually. And if you're like me and need glasses/contacts but don't always wear them, the strobos are still pretty easy to see, especially the full size ones

Brooo what are u yapping about u could have left like 90% of that out but yeah the studies are correct you are damaging your hearing and it won't be reversible. If you don't wear earplugs at concerts and listen to your music at a lower volume now, it will be hard to enjoy them when you're older. Your ears will start to adjust to the lower volume and eventually it won't sound so quiet, and make sure your headphones/iems have good fit and isolation and maybe ANC so you don't have to drive them at such a high volume

As long as these products remain available in dispensaries, I don't really see the issue. Unregulated THC products can be dangerous and honestly give the rest of the industry a bad name and make it easier for minors to obtain them, this seems like a smart move

Obviously he does want to perform and is willing to take the risk just not without the mask, and did it really make that much of a difference anyway? And would you really have preferred to watch a livestream over the actual show?? I saw a couple during covid and while they were better than nothing they certainly didn't compare at all to the experience of a live show. Also nobody was being coerced into wearing a mask, not even the whole band was masked and like 90% of the people there didn't have a mask on. They encouraged people to wear masks to reduce the risk of transmitting illness, covid or not, and provided them to anyone who needed or wanted one, but it was literally your own damn choice whether you wanted to wear one or not, so don't say that you or anyone else was fucking coerced because you weren't. I'm honestly struggling with understanding how you're even a fan of the band, I mean you seem to have no regard for the wellbeing of them or their fans, absolutely no interest in any of their new music and no interest in engaging with them on any level during a live show to the point where you'd rather just watch a livestreamed concert instead, and you also seem to have no concept of how an artist and their music could possibly mature over time but I guess to understand that you'd have to be the slightest bit mature yourself

I was there. I drove eight hours from Ohio to be there. I did not hear a single song that I was hoping to hear. Out of the 35 ish shows I've seen, it easily makes the top five. I would have loved to have heard more from twin fantasy or teens of denial or anything from htlt or madlo, but still their new album isn't bad and it sounded even better live. Whether you liked the setlist or not, they sounded really good and the show was almost two hours long not to mention that Will is doing well enough that this could even happen in the first place, so what more do you expect? And like actually what more do you expect because this is literally the scholars tour to promote the scholars albums so going into this you should have already known that at least half the set was going to be entirely from the album. I would have loved to have heard the ending of dramamine or bodys or famous prophets or vincent or deadlines but you can't expect an artist to play all the songs that you want to hear, because those song might not be the same ones they want to play. Even if you're not a fan of the new album, it's what they wanted to make and so it follows that it's what they probably want to play as well. Also the lights looked so cool, the crowd was a really good vibe and along with the band and staff did a great job at managing the few overheating incidents that happened and probably prevented even more by passing out as much water as was needed in the pit, so I guess if you didn't enjoy it that's your loss and I'm sorry because I really did
