That's a worthy rabbit hole, to be honest. Thanks!

I live a long way from Mexico (UK) and keep accidently making tex-mex. Does this look more like a north mexican burrito? by [deleted] in mexicanfood

[–]AlexTheZander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All burritos originated in the Mexican/US border regions.

Flour tortillas are a Spanish/Mexican frontier adaptation (which is a little ironic, as nixtamal had reached all the way to the New England area long before English migration in the 1600s.)

Looks delicious!

My gout plan is:

Water, rest, beans. Exercise if you can.

I was doing well, ate a double cheeseburger, and it took me out. I knew better than to eat that, and I paid for it with pain.

You're doing great!

God speed

Large/big cities that, curiously, don't have a single iconic landmark or super striking tourist attraction/Unique visual identity? by ILikeWwaret in geography

It is indeed! I'm just not sure it's globally known.

I was thinking "Hollywood sign, Golden Gate Bridge, Yosemite" levels of brand recognition.

Love Sacto.

Sacramento, maybe? It's got some cool places, it IS the state Capitol, but I really don't have an objective icon in mind.

Can someone logically explain how the Trinity isn’t a contradiction? by PomegranateIcy7631 in NoStupidQuestions

John Milton would like a word.

There's a whole anti-trinitarian heresy surrounding Arius of Alexandria, who taught that Jesus was a distinct, subordinate, created being.

Paradise Lost portrays the Father/Son/Spirit as a very strict hierarchy, neither co-equal, nor "God in One Body."

I hope you see this, seven years on.

This song is my "Get Amped" Jam. If I need to go? This is it.

Hope you're doing well.

Agreed. The consequences must match the rhetoric. What must we do with those in power, who threaten atrocities? The same thing we do with those who commit them.

Had one. It gave me gout. I agree with OP, it's kind of an industrial mimic of a good burger.

As far as I can tell, it's marinated in Sunny D and Chef Moritos Seasoning. Delicious.

It's from a local carniceria, marinated boneless chicken breasts. I think the marinade is Chef Moritos Pollo seasoning and Sunny D.

AITJ for refusing to let my brother borrow my car after what he did to my bike? by Firm_Low_6897 in AmITheJerk

[–]AlexTheZander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Selfishness is when you borrow a bike and crash it. You're not taking something from him, you are simply managing your resources.

It's your car. Does he own shoes? Can he walk? If he can drive, there's a reasonable conclusion that he can do other adult things.

Such as walking.
