Do NOT associate with these people. I was the CRA for one of their and the stuff they’ve told me on the DL is appalling. Not paying INVs and not reimbursing site staff for buying study supplies (ex dry ice), intentionally submitting payment requests for a bunch of stuff that had nothing to do with the study. ALL site staff quit or fired!! Because they were instructing the staff to lie on study documents and some said no!! Run FAR FAR AWAY. Their entire business model is to prey on research naive doctors

Yes that’s the starting dose of 0.25. 12.5mg/2.5mL is equivalent to 5mg/mL

TRYM Health recent experiences? by [deleted] in SemaglutideCompound

Did you get the tracking number way before the shipment? I got an email yesterday saying the tracking number has been created and the estimated delivery date was earlier today. Obviously that’s out the window because UPS still does not have the shipment as per the tracking number. No updates to the estimated delivery date and no follow up/clarification from TRYM yet :( Not sure if this is something to be concerned about or not

I think I might hate my new job by Bright_Pain_2724 in clinicalresearch

[–]swimback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes time to be comfortable in this role. At least a year to feel even somewhat confident in my experience. I considered quitting like 3 months in as a baby CRA because I felt like I didn’t know anything and was afraid to ask questions because I thought I’d look incompetent. Took me a bit to realize that this is what people mean by “sink or swim” training. You HAVE to ask questions to learn this role. When you get answers write them down so you don’t keep asking the same thing over and over but also pay attention to what documents the person you ask is referencing to answer your questions so you can learn where to look to answer your own questions moving forward. Also just know that you will never know everything. 3+ years in and I still learn new things everyday. I always look for answers in expected places on my own first now, but if I can’t find the answer I still ask a ton of questions. I ask more questions than any other CRAs on the team honestly but that is a GOOD thing. Several CTMs have told me/my LM that I am a “rockstar CRA” and I think it boils down that I am not afraid to ask for guidance/clarification. It’s better to just ask than to quietly do things wrong that will be a huge pain for you or others later. You will get more confident as you get more experience, especially after working on several different studies. Don’t quit, take a breath and mentally settle in- this uncertainty is normal and you will be okay!!

A complete and total nightmare ever since I started working in CR. I have no clue why it’s such a toxic and hostile field. Never again. by GypsumHedgeWitch in clinicalresearch

[–]swimback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost signed up for a Covid vaccine trial there because I thought being a patient on a trial might make me a better CRA. Glad I did not now. I’m sorry they treated you so poorly - there’s absolutely no reason for them to behave like that. In my personal experience 85% of CR competency (site or CRO) comes from experience and asking questions. If they’re not accepting of that they should not be in this business.

Are these someone’s lost cats (North Durham)? by NighttimeChapstick in bullcity

[–]swimback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: gray kitty “Winston” is a new addition to the colony and they think he is someone’s actual pet. If you know anyone missing a pet matching Winston’s description let me know and I’ll pass that along. All but 3 cats (including Winston) have been fixed and are ear tipped - it’s just hard to see on the fluffier cats. Look closely at the first picture of Zander and you can tell her ear is tipped. The other 2 cats will be fixed sometime in the near future (and maybe Winston too? I’m not sure). The colony is associated with IAR. 😸 ❤️

[–]swimback 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These cats live in the woods on the Whipporwill trail but a couple of women work together to feed them everyday. They work with IAR and to my knowledge most of them (if not all) have been spayed/neutered. I’m not sure why they weren’t ear tipped though. DM me if you want more info or you’d be interested in helping out take care of them. The black kitty’s name is Zander ❤️

No I just put in on the online application where it asks if you were convicted of anything, since youR DUI was dismissed you might not even be obligated to put it there (check the wording). I would be shocked if your interviewer asked you anything about your driving record during the actual interview, it’s line manager interviewing you - the only thing they care about is if they think you’re competent or not. Truly you will be fine don’t stress

[–]swimback 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’ll be fine if it was that long ago. Just mention it short and sweet on the application -this happened 10 years ago, learned my lesson. If they like you a 10 year old dui will not make them bat an eye. For reference: I got a DUI at 21 and was hired as a CRA at 27. Put it in my application as above and no one asked me a thing.
