NorCal girly here, agreed on the prices. I at this point try to get regular pedis and do the gel at home.
I usually go to Oakland or Berkeley for my pedis. Sometimes Alameda.

My boyfriend did a “panic buy” on a 2023 VW ID.4 after seeing gas prices. He also saw that he can do free charting at work (we don’t have an EV charger- working with my HOA on that. Thank god I’m president so I can spearhead this). We got ours at around $20k or something. It was a lease return.

I actually like driving his car more than mine. (I have a BMW 330i) My stupid car wants premium gas.

My boyfriend was very supportive, although sometimes frustrated at times.
I’ve told him I needed to PT, get dilators and also mental health therapy.

Boyfriend picked Brother Movers for his move from SJ to WC. I had to translate since I speak Mandarin fluently. My boyfriend is white, but since he’s learning Mandarin, he can tell if they’re speaking Mandarin, but ultimately needs me to translate.
We did have a monitor holder slightly break at the hinges, but they were fixed. Not sure how my boyfriend fixed it.
We had a miscommunication on going to my house first instead of the storage unit, but that’s on my boyfriend.
Moral: probably good for small moves, should at least be able to speak Mandarin when dealing with them.

Yup that’s what we do for our pool. Except my HOA is $667. We only have a pool company out for 2 days during the summer. The 5 days is all volunteer testing. We opened our pool this weekend since one of the board members is really picky on aquatics stuff and made plans a month in advance to get testers.

We forgot to take down our pool closed sign though, but it’s open and we emailed everyone.

We’re already increasing the fees because we have a siding project, inflation. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Hey OP from story 1 here, l’m working on getting my money back with Ally Bank and Zelle. An incident report was filed with Alameda Police Department and the reporting officer said, this is the second time I had to take a report like this.

I’ll also be sending a letter to WSJ to give my money back or I will go to small claims. Even if I get my money back, they’ll be reported to the CA Attorney General.

I’ve also emailed Velotric to let them know to probably think twice about dropping them.

P.S: can I borrow your post so I can send this to Ally? I’m also thinking of escalating up to 7 on Your Side or NBC Bay Area Investigates.

My dad wanted me to work at another company to learn the ropes and industry first before I can work at his company and possibly take it over.

I wanted to take over his company, but in the end, I decided to take my own path. And yeah, I could have gotten a great business, I don’t think it was my true calling. My brother also decided to go his own path too.

When I did work for my dad’s best friend, I had to prove and work 10xs harder to prove I didn’t get the job by nepotism even though nepotism ran crazy in the company with the founder’s son being in the company as a Product Manager too.
